HOPPE'S Boresnake® - Pistols & Revolvers Cleaner

Was exactly what I needed to make cleaning my S&W 380 pistol, my .357 revolver and my .22LR pistols. It fits perfectly in all the barrels. Takes a lot of aggravation out of the cleaning process. I like to go to the indoor range and practice, and this makes cleaning everything much easier. Great function, stores easily and is well worth the cost.

Loving this .22 boresnake. Just put a little oil on the loop end, and in the middle…then feed the bore through the barrel of your .22 rifle or pistol, and pull the entire snake through. Repeat a couple of times until it comes clean. Such a great snake bore and so easy to use.I am very pleased and highly recommend.

It's important to clean all firearms, but .22 ammo is particularly dirty, so I clean my .22 pistol after every trip to the range. Although I have a cleaning kit with various tools, this bore snake makes it particularly easy to get my weapon squeaky clean in just minutes.

Bore snake was recommended by Sig Guy. It works great but just remember to lube the bore snake with whatever you use to clean your bore BEFORE PUTTING IT THROUGH YOUR BORE. Or else it will be stuck in your bore. If it does become stuck then add oil to the barrel until it comes out the other side, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then pull with your muscle! Again remember to lube the bore snake before using it !

It was hard finding a bore snake at Walmart for .44-.45 caliber. Easy to use & clean but the bristles kind of get worn down after a few uses & found a gun store in town to replace it if I need to. I only give it 4 stars because of quality but it gets the job done in a fashionable manner.

This BoreSnake does a great job of cleaning the barrel of a fire arm. I have two 9mm hand guns, one full sized and one compact, which I periodically fire at the range. It does make cleaning the bore easier than using a conventional cleaning rod furthermore I have no problem using it either the barrels removed from the fire arms or with the fire arm still fully assembled.I can't swear that it gets the bore any cleaner than cleaning the bore with a cleaning rod does but it is a whole lot more convenient. The way the BoreSnakes are all constructed is that there is a plain part at both ends that functions like a cleaning patch. Imbedded in the middle of the BoreSnake is a brass cleaning brush. One small reservation that I have is that I don't like to use a bore brush unless the barrel is fouled pretty heavily.The manufacturer claims that this BoreSnake is machine washable once you get it dirty. Here is what I do to clean my hand guns. After breaking the handguns down and removing the barrel I run a cleaning patch with Hoppe's #9 on it through the bore a couple of times. I then follow this up with several passes of the BoreSnake but not using the center part with the bore brush in it. This does produce an immaculately clean barrel. I have not tried putting a few drops of the Hoppe's on the material of the BoreSnake although the printed material on the package in which it came indicates that one can do this and then wash the BoreSnake later. Someone else will need to do this and let me know if it works. I have never been able to get Hoppe's #9 out of any clothing that I got it on.All in all I think that these BoreSnakes are a good product and that they do make cleaning fire arms easier.
