Thick material and works great!
These were a great deal ... 2 potholders for $8.55. They arrived feeling thick and soft. They are a lot larger than I thought they would be, but that was definitely a PLUS for me! I like the colour and very excited about them. I washed them in laundry bags {one in each bag} as I had read the reviews about them ripping, etc. Mine did not rip or tear. The problem was that they balled up and became misshaped. I used my hands to flatten then out. They still looked misshaped when I put them in the dryer, but I couldn't get them any flatter. These are definitely thick and are what I was looking for. {Thick terry cloth potholders}. I will update how they handle heated dishes from the oven.Fingers crossed..... I really want to love these potholders.UPDATE- These pot holders have become our favorite. They are thick, but easy to handle. We can use them as regular pot holders or slip our hands in the pockets. No heat gets through so we can easily take things in and out of the oven. They have flattened out from my initial complaint about them balling up after the first washing. They are still thick and soft. I have changed my initial star rating from 3 to 5 Stars as they definitely deserve it. I love that they are only thick terry cloth fabric.Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting terry cloth pot holders.

Potholder inside padding faulty
Very nice potholder until it is washed and unfortunately becomes unusable because the inside padding blows up after washing.

Big, thick, inexpensive. What more could you want? Maybe quality control.
These are very thick and very large. Great for my big hands, but they might be too floppy if your hands are small. At this price point, they're a bargain, and I'll probably snag a couple more. Alas, they seem not to come in any colors. But beige goes with everything. What more could you want? How about quality construction? On one of mine, the inner lining is not stitched to the edge, allowing it to flop open inside the mitt, and potentially exposing finger tips to hot items with only the outer terry shell for protection. I guess the forced labor in the Evil Empire haven't yet gotten around to product inspection or quality control. No wonder the Prex is hitting them with tariffs.

THEY'RE OKAY UNTIL YOU WASH THEM
When I washed and dried them, they clumped up into balls. I rewashed, and while they were still wet, I stretched and stretched them, laying them as flat as possible on the counter to dry, but they're still too lumpy and too thick. I don't like having to stretch them each time I wash them, so mine are going in the trash.

Only use two handed! Repurposed to wash the car! Work great!
Questionable 100% cotton. The mits are thick on the larger side making them more difficult to use one handed (which is how I've been doing it over 50 years). They seem to have a micro weave material! However as of April I have started using these for washing the car! And they are great for that! They have a pocket to put your hand in and soft yet thick.

Very Poor Quality
I really did give these a try. I returned the first pair I ordered when I noticed, shortly after unpacking them, that the fabric was coming up along a small section of seam. The return process was not painful and I decided to give the manufacturer another chance. Mistakes do happen. I looked over the second pair very carefully and did not find any flaws. However, after only a few uses, the fabric on both mitts began coming apart along the inside seam (a fact I first noticed by burning myself). I'm very disappointed with this product and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Decent potholders, easily stained.
I don't think I home cook can ever have to many potholders. A good potholder needs to be well-made so that it can withstand high heat, and be easy to clean and care for and look decent in the kitchen. These terry potholders almost make the grade but I had to take off two stars because within a month they were quite stained, and no amount of cleaning that I could do would restore the original color or beauty of the potholders.I guess this is always a dilemma with any potholder: will it last a long time, work well, and still look decent? Or, will it work well but look nasty? In this case, the potholders work well, but...

Poor quality
Was excited to receive these pot holders until I noticed terry bits were getting everywhere.. Including in food. After washing they were half the size and very out of shape and bulgy. I threw them away.
