I ordered this book from another buyer and it never came. This time the book came, was in excellent condition (even better than described) and arrived early. Awesome!!!!! Thanks! This will be fun to read to grandchildren of all ages.

Gingerbread for Liberty! is a delightful tale about an unlikely hero. The story provides a delicious catalyst for teaching American History, creative thinking, and the valuable lesson that everyone can contribute by sharing their talents.

I have been teaching 5th grade for a few years now. I love teaching American History, especially the American Revolution. I enjoy teaching my students about the people who aren’t in our history book, the forgotten heroes. So when I found out about this book, I knew I had to have it! Yes, they’re 5th graders, but they still LOVE being read to on the carpet. We all enjoyed this sweet story, no pun intended. I highly recommend purchasing this book to go along with your Revolutionary War unit.

This book was perfect to use as a read-aloud in class. It can be used to identify events in the plot of a story. It can also be used for characterization. It has historical value as well.

I am a retired teacher/librarian. I read this book to two third grade classes at the school I retired from. I read right before the holiday break and all of the children enjoyed it and had many interesting questions and comments about the story. I might make this a tradition in the future.

This is a great children's book with message of American History.

As a German American and retired teacher, I am always looking for books that teach our German heritage in a fun way to our elementary aged grandsons. This book was a lot of fun, but still taught facts about the Revolutionary War against the British. As Americans we all play a part in making a great nation.
