Irish Setter Men's 83909 Wellington Work Boot

Can't beat the Irish Setters/Redwing boots. They fit and will be comfortable when broken in. They can be resoled many times. The boots from other manufacturers of this style, when you put them on and they fit like a glove on day one. If you work in them day in and out, they won't last more than a couple of months Thus, false economy. The Iresh Setters are well worth the money spent. Thanks Amazon for having them as one of your sellers.

The boots fit really good in the beginning. They do stretch a bit with use. The leather is soft and there is little to no break in time. After the the leather stretches they don’t fit quite as well as they did in the beginning. Overall they are still good boots and very comfortable.

It was tricky to get the right size. I tried 3 sizes before I settled on the 10 double wide (EE). I wear a 10.5 wide, but that was way too big. I tried a 9.5 wide, and that was way too small. 10 wide is perfect for my foot. The exchange process is absolutely painless! It was literally 3 mouse clicks to have a new size ordered and a return label with postage paid by the vendor printed.The boot itself is light weight, well constructed, and very comfortable. I do wish there were more arch support, but I can get that in the aftermarket.

I like the walk in them. I like the looks of these and I get complemented often, which was a surprise the first couple of times. Tuff leather yet easy on my feet. Doesnt scar or scuff easily. Very durable and a style that never seems to go out of style you know it's a classic look.

I have wide feet and the ee width seem about perfect. First couple times was a slight pain to put on. The boot is incredably comfortable. A little tightness at the top of the foot after about 8 hours of mostly NOT on my feet. The more I wear them the better they fit. The fit is secure but is much easier to slip on. I can wear then all day and then some. Easily 12 hours. Cant say enough about them.

Long time user of this boot model. Once you get past the break in point, these boots fit like a glove, never want to take them off. They look good, feel good and receive many compliments on the style. Wear for work , casual.

The sizing on these boots is awful. I bought my husband his usual size and it was so tight he couldn’t even get his foot in the boot. I went up a size and it was massive, they didn’t have the half size difference either. Huge waste of my time to deal with having to return them as well I’m incredibly disappointed and won’t ever try to buy another pair of these again.

This boots did not fit like my other Irish Setters (which I have had since 2010). They were a bit large, which is fine and not for the 1 star review. Rather, each boot had two pull on straps, one of the straps (and only one) was stretched twice as long as the other 3. There is no reason why this strap should have been stretched beyond measure. Who ever is manning this store, or packaging the boots should have noticed the defect. This was the last boot in its inventory, so maybe they thought no one would notice. Too bad as I have to expect a lot from Red Wing and Irish Setter. The last two shoes I have purchased from this company were returned due to poor quality. I know this may not be typical of other people's experience, but I haven't had the best luck with them.

First impressions: Solid and comfortable
