Amazingly sturdy
The one thing that you need to know is that the canopy/curtain dosn’t fasten or attach to the frame. What I did was sew it to the frame in six differed areas the I reinforced the areas with glue. I also reinforced the bows with glue as well as the ribbons are quite short.

Lovely doll bed. Perfect for American girl size dolls and a stuffed animal friend. Easy to put together.

Needs Work
Look—I know this canopy bed is only $25. That still doesn’t excuse some of the flaws that made this almost unbuildable! Some holes weren’t tight enough and I had loose screws, so I put bits of cardboard inside both of the holes and held the plastic stopper until it was in tight. It was the best I could do, but after completing the build it was just fine and I’d probably be careful if I were a child playing with it. It’s pretty though and I’ll get Velcro for the canopy and nicer bedding.

Good Value
I ordered this bed as a Christmas present for my 7 year old daughter, who requested a bed for her American girl doll. Product was shipped securely and was received in good condition. Construction of the bed went together easily - took about 10 minutes to assemble. Canopy rail wood split out while screwing the piece into the canopy post (created a visual blemish, but not a structural issue). The ribbon tie backs are included in the packaging. Other than the canopy, the bedding is all one piece. The coverlet is quilted with an extra fluffy section to serve as a pillow. Because they are attached, the doll cannot put her head on a pillow, and have covers on top of her. On a good note, it means less pieced to keep up with. Because of the angle of the image, it appears that the bedding hangs over the side rail of the bed. Actually, the lace along the edge of the bedding just lays over the top of the rail each side. There are no mid supports on the canopy - just the outside edges are framed. Therefore, the canopy fabric droops in the middle. These are all of my comments. As for my daughter - she just loves it.

Canopy bed- needs assembly and a little work to dress up this bed to make it beautiful!!
This bed turned out to be the TADA moment on Christmas- thanks to my dear friend-- it was so cheaply made- the mattress was a piece of cardboard and the coverlet w/ pillows (all one piece of thin material) my girlfriend went & bought a small piece of foam to be the mattress and made a sheet & puffed up the cover shown on bed to be used when bed was made up. She then made a blanket in a dark pink and put a piece of same color for dust ruffle. She made 2 little pillows and an extra blanket! So the dark pink blanket was folded down at end of bed on top of the pink & white gingham "spread" so when baby went to bed she folded down the gingham bed covering and put her "Saige" American Girl doll on bed and covered her with the do pink blanket- the coordinating dark pink contrasted beautiful and when finished looked so much more expensive! She even made her an extra blanket! But don't expect a mattress!!!

Super Pleased.
My wife and I bought our daughter an American Girl doll for Christmas. Everything for the American Girl dolls is super expensive if it's from the actual company. Before we purchased this bed, our daughter was putting her doll in the original box when it was time for her to 'sleep.' The box started to get torn up and just looked beat-up. So, I did my research and came across this product. I didn't tell our daughter about it and when she saw the bed, she couldn't believe it. She was super excited. The bed fit the American Girl doll perfect. The bed itself is a great size and very easy to set up. Our daughter is very pleased still to this day. She even tries to squeeze her other guys "stuffed animals" on it at times, and most of the time she can fit another.Overall, she adores the product as do my wife and I. We couldn't be more pleased with the product and the price it came with. I would definitely recommend this product to others. Thank you very much!Darrin

Very Cute and durable dog bed for small dogs
I purchased this item as a dog bed for my tiny puppy, who now at 3.5 pounds is pretty much fully grown. I wanted an alternative to unsightly, shapeless dog beds. She took to the bed right away, understanding quickly that it was her place to sleep. I did replace the little padding on the bottom with a standard pillow so that it's comfortable for my pup. It is much more sturdy than I expected it to be, which is a good thing. The linens that come with the bed are too cute, and the bed looks great with or without the canopy. I wish I had a canopy bed, but at least my dog has one. We have received lots of compliments on it, and instead of hiding in a corner, the bed looks good enough to be in the living room.

Pretty and daughter loves it but cheaply made
Pretty bedding and canopy top but cheaply made. My husband said easy to put together. Cheaply made, one side board split when my husband put it together and is cracked on both sides, still functional for now. The canopy falls down in middle and slides off the top and posts. This is easily fixed, I cut a long elastic band and tied it around the top to prevent sagging. Then I cut four elastic bands to tie the sides to the posts. Still prettier than the American doll bed and a lot less expensive. My 6 yr old loves it!
