It’s a beautiful pen.
I like the elegant design and comfortable grip of this pen. It is not heavy at all, which makes writing easy and enjoyable. Its classy look can fit a workplace or whatever occasion. What I am not 100% happy with is the ink flow. This pen is new but sometimes skipping happens. I have to shake the pen to get the ink run smoothly again.

Cross Bailey! Great Pen!
I received my new Cross Bailey today! The weight is very nice and the own writes beautifully! The cap stays securely on the own when in use and when not. It is a little small for my large hands, but not so much that it makes a difference! This is just another example of the quality I expect from Cross. A fine pen for the working man!!

Nice quality for the price, good company that stands behind their product
I picked this up while it was on sale, felt that I got a good deal on it. Great value for a functional fountain pen. Mine is a wet write, nib is not as smooth as my higher end pens, but is better than expected. The size is a bit small, but I prefer smaller pens (Sailor Sapparo / Pelikan 200-400 series). I have a few Cross pens and have only had an issue with one of them (A century II with 18k nib). I sent it to Cross and they repaired it, writes beautifully now. The customer service was very impressive, and although my Cross pens are always not my favorites, they stand behind their product and it gave me the confidence to purchase several more (2 Apogees which are very nice, and now 2 Baileys). I bought this Bailey to have as a knock around pen, that I wouldn't have to worry about scratching / breaking. So more of a daily note taker for me. I've only filled it once at this point, so the ink I am using may just be a thin ink. I would prefer a fine nib option on this if it continues to write so wet. It does come with two ink cartridges, but does NOT come with a converter. If you prefer to use bottles inks, you will need to purchase the screw in type converter (the one that works with the Apogee), not the push in.

Excellent pen! Not postable, but I'm happier for it
Can't say enough great things about this pen, but I'll get one thing out of the way to begin: If you absolutely must have a pen that "posts" (i.e., that move where you remove the pen cap and firmly lodge it onto the back of the pen as you write), you will definitely be disappointed in the Cross Bailey. However, if you are someone like me who frequently hands your pen over to strangers for them to sign things, the non-postable cap provides a HUGE advantage: theft deterrence.Think of it this way: When you take your pen from your pocket, remove the cap, and then hand the pen to another person, you are practically guaranteed to receive it back, because (A) virtually no one would accidentally shove an ink pen without a cap into their pocket, and (B) virtually no one would deliberately steal an ink pen that is missing a cap.I did my research and decided that rollerball pens were my pen of choice. I've heard plenty of great things about the Cross brand, and I've had such a fantastic experience with the Cross Bailey line that I've purchased four of them in the last five months, just to have different styles to match to my shirts/neckties. The red lacquer is easily my favorite color finish, and in the past five months I've had countless customers of mine use the pen to sign a document or sales receipt and comment on how well the pen writes . . . including a few people who have asked me if it's a Montblanc. (So far my reply to this inquiry has been, "No, it's a Cross Bailey . . . it writes like a dream and it only set me back 25-30 bucks" and they're dumbfounded.)

A Fire Fighter's Pen.
My last years on the fire department as a fire fighter paramedic, I carried two of the Medalist version of this pen. I used them to write out all my medial reports from EMS runs and on many occasions they stayed in my pocket as I geared up to go fight fire. The pens have been well exposed to smoke, heat, water and toxic chemicals, far beyond what Cross dreamed of when they made this pen. I'm pretty sure they never considered how these pens would hold up to when fighting fire and saving lives. Both pens took everything that I took. The finish was nice, they could easily be decontaminated. Matter of fact they look really good for the wear. I carried them for so long because they worked. Middle of the night on a traffic accident, they wrote well on my gloves. They then wrote the report when I got the patient to the hospital. Nothing stoped my pens. I still have both, they are my treasures. They went where I went and wrote about it every time.Yep. I love them.

Poorly made
The Cross Bailey is a pretty cheaply made pen. You can purchase two Bailey Light pens for what this one costs. The cap is loose right out of the box. I doubt it will have much longevity. The only redeeming quality was that the cartridge was smoother writing than any Cross refill that I have recently purchased. Other than that, it is a very unimpressive pen.

Portaminas d emala calidad
