RV Camping: RV Living for Beginners

A lot of this book is geared toward the full time RVer..someone who is planning to sell their home and live full time in an RV. That is not me. 20 pages into the book, I found very useful information comparing all the RV clubs and what each offers plus their annual fees. The packing list is helpful to someone who has never camped, but I didn’t find anything additional that I needed to know as far as packing and supplies. The author suggests buying used as the best option, but have it inspected by a professional first. Also, he suggests to always have an extended warranty as things will eventually go wrong and need repair. Other things I found useful were the descriptions of all the different internet capabilities and what works best in each situation , and the different types of campground options and how to access each.

good book if you want to learn about the world of RVing. You don’t have to live it. They also make great vacation trips Got us interested. And that was the point. There is a lot to see in America. What a great way to see it.

We bought this before our first RV vacation. It's only geared towards anyone who wants to switch to living in a RV full time. That wasn't clear to me when I bought it - I did not know "RV living" was meant for people making the RV their permanent home. I thought - yeah - we will live in an RV for 2 weeks! That said, I thought it might still be useful. But the only piece of useful advise was to have latex glove for dumping the tanks. So now that I told you that you don't need the book if you just go on a vacation in an RV. It may have some value if you want to make the RV your permanent home, but I didn't read the sections on where to have your mail delivered etc too closely since I had no need for it.

I am reading about RVing whenever I get the chance. I can't do it myself (80 yrs. old and crippled from the waist down) but I sure like it when I get a book like this!! Lots of info that I haven't seen before. I may make it someday!!

This book is good and instructive for RVers. section on Mexico has me worried about any trip to this country.

Great book for the "new"full time RV enthusiast, but also has great info for the first time RV traveler too. Easy reading, and an absolute must if you have never camped before!

I have been looking into starting this adventure now the kids are at a good age. This book really lays it out for a new person like me.

This is a great book for first timers or seasoned RVers. Good for Canada as while as the US, but mainly the US.
