This is the best brush I've owned. I started with one of the Weber brushes that's wood, with the scraper on the end that kind of goes around the bars of the grill grate. It worked fine, but because of that scraper hitting the side of my kettle I could never get all the way to the edge. So the edges of my grate were always nasty.I then tried one of the tool wizard brushes. Long story, as I initially wanted to try a different, more high-end brand of the same type that Cooks Illustrated recommended. The guy wouldn't even sell me one as he didn't think it would perform optimally on my grill due to the grate not being flush with the top of the grill. He knows the Weber Kettle is like the most popular grill in the country, right? Anyway, I tried the cheaper Tool Wizard, and it worked well, but the steel wool wore out super fast. I tried reaching out to the other guy again to see if I could buy his superior pads at least, but he never responded.My next "brush" wasn't a brush at all, it was one of the "Grate Scrape" wooden paddles. That also worked reasonably well, and I liked that I didn't need to worry about bristles falling out, but it got pretty gross pretty quick and it never really seemed like it was getting them fully clean, as the square edge of the paddle didn't really fit with my round grill very well. That combined with the cost to replace and I finally retired it.This brush is the new pick from Cooks Illustrated, and I gave it a shot. It's got bristles, so watch out that they don't come lose, but it's made by Weber so you know it's quality, and at only 10 bucks it's easy to painless to replace every year or two if necessary. The shape of it and the flex allows me to hit all the rounded parts of my circular grill, no problem. I feel like it's years since it's been so clean. And I like that it's short; i just wear gloves so my hands don't burn and I get plenty of leverage. This brush is excellent, and I don't anticipate switching to anything else any time soon. I'll just replace this as necessary with the same thing, and call it a day. Get this, you won't regret it.

This is a great brush. The bristles are sturdy, but not too sharp or coarse. Have only used this a short while, but I suspect it would hold up well over time. As others have pointed out, the main drawback to the brush is that it's on the short side. If you're trying to clean your grill while the coals are burning, your hands are going to start to feel toasty through your grilling gloves while you clean. But that's not a significant problem. It is well-built, gets the grill clean, and is a good value at this price.EDIT: I still like the brush, but I would definitely consider getting the longer version of the brush, especially because it's only $2 more (at the time of this writing).

This is my second Weber brush. The first had the longer handle. I like this one much better as it doesn't bend making it more precise and easy to use. After grilling, I turn the burners to low, repeatedly dip the brush in a bowl of water and brush the entire grill surface. The outside plants receive the post cleaning water. Works great and the grill is clean and ready to go for the next time. My first brush was in great shape with matted but no areas of missing bristles and I have never seen even a single bristle left behind. I bought the second one about 1 1/2 years after the first due to all the articles on the danger of metal bristles falling out and being consumed. I believe they would be very obvious on a cleaned grill, but I bought a new one as I will stop using this type of brush if I ever find even a single bristle has broken off or fallen out.

I was broken hearted when i lost my Weber brush as there is nothing to compare to it. I use it for thd barbecue and racks in the Oven - it works really well and i wouldn’t be without it .
