RockportMen's Rock Cove Sneaker

I bought this shoe to replace an identical style but lighter color Rockport shoe that lasted for three years of constant use. I had to glue a small section of the old shoe toward the end but otherwise both the material and sole held up well. My old shoe always was comfortable and provided good support. I expect this shoe to last as long and fit just as well. I do have an issue with Rockport though. I purchased this shoe with a wide width and another shoe from Rockport with a normal width and both fit properly, so Rockport has issues with shoe width. I used to go to Rockport stores in outlet malls to try them on before buying, but they have closed almost all of their stores, outlet or otherwise. Because of that this may be my last Rockport purchase. Five stars anyway because I love this shoe.

Rockport are my favorite shoes and I have worn them for years. I currently wear 4 pair of their shoes, including their Works safety shoe.The ball of my foot is very wide and I have high arches. I have always found that the Rockport wide shoes fit me quite well. This pair of Rock Cove's seemed like they were made on a "D" last rather than a "EE"; though I could get my foot into them there was no way I could wear them. I double-checked and they were marked "W" but they really didn't feel it.I had to return these and now I'm worried that Rockport may be changing either their lasts or their quality control.

I own at least 6 pairs of Rockport shoes, and this is the first pair that has been disappointment. The design of this shoe is ridiculous. My size is 13 EE, so a big shoe for WIDE feet. The lacing system is made up of cloth loops and holes in the leather, which is not unusual, but the shoes come with tubular shoelaces that are TOO THICK to move easily through the holes or the loops and are WAY TOO SHORT, so you are left with shoelaces that cannot be properly tightened (OR TIED!), and shoes that don't fit properly. If this was my first pair of Rockports, I would swear off the brand for the rest of my life. In fact, I was so angry that I had already requested a return authorization from Amazon, but before shipping them back, I decided to look through my "collection" of discarded and exchanged shoelaces. Luckily, I found a pair of gray tubular shoelaces that were a) OF THE APPROPRIATE SMALLER THICKNESS to move easily through the lacing system, b) OF A SMOOTHER TEXTURE to make this possible, and c) TEN INCHES LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL LACES, so that one can tie a proper bow.Now all I need is for one of the cloth loops to break like in one of the review photos, and Rockport will have lost a good client forever! Clearly Rockport is changing to cheaper manufacturers. This pair is supposed to be replacing the same model shoe purchased a few years ago. Notably, the soles are more plasticky instead of rubbery, the shoe laces are almost too short, and the tongue of the shoe is also shorter than it was. It feels more like a cheap knockoff than a quality shoe one expects from Rockport.

Very nice shoe but they must be made in a country where everyone has small feet! I wear a man's size 7 M but this shoe looked like a child's shoe! I was very disappointed because I have never been unable to get a good shoe from Rockport before! I ordered the same size shoe the fits me from Rockport also but no luck! I think companies that were once good here have lost something by going to other countries for Manufacturing!

These shoes look and feel a lot like a pair of New Balance, which I like. There is just a touch of arch support, but they are mostly flat inside like NB shoes. I got mine in Wide and they fit exactly right. My foot doesn't slide around inside at all. The laces are a bit shorter than they ought to be, almost like they used regular length laces on the Wide shoes, but they are still able to be tied and hold the knot all day. Overall, I am very satisfied. They are comfortable, look good with jeans, and appear to be well made.

I initially gave these shoes a stellar review. They’re really comfortable and stylish. I love Rockport shoes. However, after a month of wear, one of the eyelet loops yanked free from under the leather. It happened on both shoes. It’s poor stitching and I’ve made Rockport aware of it. This is where the story gets amazing. Rockport customer service contacted me and offered me a new pair of shoes for free. That’s the kind of company you get when you buy this brand. For my money, I would not buy these again (sadly I loved them so much I bought a second pair before these gave out.) but I will continue buying the brand.

These are well fitting, comfortable and very attractive shoes. I bought them about 1 ½ years ago. I wore them on most of my daily dog walks (about three miles) and they held up well. They stayed good looking until I finally wore the sole through...and had to say goodbye. I think a couple of thousand miles of walking in these gives me a reasonable basis to say: these are great shoes!

I have bought a few pairs of the cove product over the years. They are great shoes. They are well built and have lasted longer and better than many other similar products.There is leather over the large toe which prevents a hole from forming because of the consistent rubbing of the toe. Lots of other products have less material over the toe and there fore a hole develops. There is quite a lot of venting in the shoe as well. the sole stays good as well. The only thing I have a problem with is with the laces which keep coming undone. You have to put a double knot in the lases. Even doing this it doesn't always prevent the laces from coming undone. But is better then single knots. The shoes are comfortable and I would recommend them.

Fits a tiny bit looser than the in store one I bought but it still does the job nicely and comfortably.

Excellent shoes but Rockport sizes are getting smaller . Should have ordered 11.5 not 11.0 . otherwise fine .
