DC Super Hero Girls: Spaced Out

My 5 year old loves superheroes especially girl power ones and she really enjoys this book. She is just starting to read so I have to read to her so the pictures are very exciting to look at.

I did enjoy both intertwined stories. How the new Green Lantern overcomes her fears, and the pets story. Only downer here was how they made the stuck up, spoiled, rich snob Star Sapphire (who is the only DC superhero girl I don't like) a major role. Even so I was tempted to give it a five.I was thinking of getting the first book of the new series about the heroes at Metropolis High. The preview included here changed my mind. All the characters are rewritten yet again into something that looks like it was written by some one who had never read a DC comic. The art work is bad too. So I cheerfully drop a grade, and cancel the order for that book.

My daughter loved this book, especially the “look into the future” at the end. :)

Okay for a 1st grader

My 7 year old daughter would like to review this book as "awesome! Totally great!"

Great Christmas present for one of my kids, but all three decided to read it as well!

My daughter loves watching this show and she loves the comics as well.

My 10-yr old enjoys the show on telly, and I thought I'd take a chance on getting these books. She is not a good reader, never has been despite ALL the efforts from us as parents and her teachers. today, she put her iPad down on her OWN initiative, and started reading these books. At the end of the day, she requested for more. We are talking a miracle here. I never thought I'd ever hear those words requesting "more of these books, please". Thank you authors, thank you Amazon.

You are probably aware that the DC Superhero Girls franchise has been rebooted, this is one of the final volumes from the original (better) run. I really enjoyed it and it makes me sad that there are not going to be any further volumes for this version. If you have bought the other volumes in this series I would recommend getting this one, if you're a fan of the Green Lantern Corps then this is a must buy!
