This is a great little rotary nail tool. My 60 and 35 pound dogs didn't mind it. It isn't very powerful but I think in some ways that makes it safer for the amateur person since you have to take your time grind down the nail. If you had a very large breed dog or are an experienced groomer you might find it lacking in speed. But for me it is fine and given that it costs $20/dog for nail trims I've already saved myself money. If you have a herd of 100 pound dogs you probably want a more industrial strength tool. For a larger dog nail you may also find the guard hole isn't big enough. I ended up taking off the guard for a couple of my doberman's nails (even though they tell you not to). You will also find changing the direction (flipping it in your hand) of the tool gives different results. It seems to me if the tool is rotating ccw with you facing your animal, it is faster than it rotating cw. CCW it is grinding down on the nail, CW it is grinding up. Probably grinding down just a better mechanical advantage so faster. For my 35 pound dog her nails were smaller and no need to remove the guard. But if you have a larger dog the holes may not be wide enough.

We got this to replace the same brand and model, because it would not turn off. This one arrived and after multiple ways to charge it, it won't turn on! Garbage product. The old one worked great until it didnt.

I really like this product.it has a grip on the handle so its great to handle.it also comes with a light.i use it to see the nerve through the nail so i dont grind too far.i like how it has dog sized on the cover.it comes with 3 extra weels for grinding.i also like the fact that you can recharge it at home and how you can take the cover off quick and easy.incase you need to rotate it,for when your dog wants to lay down or your in an akward position.mine didnt come pre charged so dont be worried that it doesnt work.now i dont know if it was charged and then the battery died on its own but yea i just charged mine and it worked like a charm.theres no wall plug to charge so you will need to get one or charge it by usb.which includes a small usb cord.

Mine worked well the first time I had to use it. The second time i had to use it, it would not turn off. There is just one button, with three power settings. High speed, low speed, and power off. When I tried to turn it off, the light would turn off, but the motor would continue running. Pressing the button again would cycle into high speed and the light would turn on. Pressing one more time was supposed to turn it to low speed, but the motor stayed in high speed, and the light stayed on. Pressing a third time should turn it off, and the light goes off, but the motor continues running and the dremel head continues spinning. Not at high speed, but faster than the low speed setting.There is no battery compartment, so I didn't have the option to remove the batteries either. I considered letting it run until it just ran out of power, but the grip started becoming warm and I could smell burning electronics. I had to disassemble the unit, while it was running, and cut the power wires in order to get it to stop and prevent a fire. There was already smoke coming out of the device when I opened it up.This happened during normal use. The device was not dropped or damaged in any way prior to the incident. It was charged with the cable that came with it, and unplugged once the charging indicator turned off.I would advise everyone to stay away from this defective and potentially dangerous product.

We use to spend about $100 each time our dogs nails got to long by taking them to a groomer, now we have the same thing at home that saves us a ton of money! Handled both my shiba's nails and my German shepherd's nails . It has 3 nail size setting and a light to help you see the quick of the nail. We could easily see the shiba's quick because they were light colored, we couldn't see the quick of the German Shepherd's though and just had to be extra careful with hers. I was able to round the edges with this device to a decent degree though not perfectly. It helped a lot with the loud clicking on the wood floors.

Bought one had to return it because it was dead out of the box . Bought another one used it one time and it died on me . The return window is now closed so i can't return it. So now i have this junk on my desk that i will have to throw away .

the only think went bad right from the start is charger contention that was push in i don't know how this happen never happen before (don't like that first charge i got stuck with that i try to fixed that got even worse cheap quality is possible is only my feeling thanks /but still will do the job pretty powerful
