IRS Tax Preparer Course and RTRP Exam Study Guide 2012

I passed the exam with flying colors, then the IRS lost a lawsuit against enforcing the requirement for paid preparers to have to pass any exam in order to file tax returns. Still, this book helped me get there.

I purchased this course with the online test bank (unlimited use and practice exams) so total about $ 250 ..probably is less cost now ...reviewed manual, but mostly used the test bank and kept drilling and taking practice exams until I got to a point where I was getting 89 or so on average practice exams ...then scheduled and took live IRS test ....passed on first shot (to be fair I have been in tax practice for quite a number of years) ...I'll tell you what though, I bet most, even tax professionals would fail this test if they did not review these materials, as a high percentage of this test is on ethics (specifics)which requires study ....spend some spare time reviewing, you can access this test bank on your phone, so study can not be more convenient...needless to say I though this course was a great tool for even the most experienced tax preparers. Absolutely!! I passed the test in one try. FFA review materials are really very helpful in helping me pass the test. I found the actual test much more easier that the practice tests that FFA had. One good tip that I want to share is that you have to learn how to use the alloted time wisely. Although it is an open book you could hardly use the available materials to seek the right answer(s) because of the alloted time for each question. So, once the test starts, answer those questions that you really know immediately and then come back to those questions that you marked just like the way FFA have it on their practice tests.

I purchased this book online from Fast Forward Academy to prepare for the RTRP Exam with the free online question bank and later purchased the unlimited practice exam questions. To study, I followed the steps outlined in the section "Your Best Strategy to Pass." I spent two months studying and passed on my first attempt. I would recommend this book along with the question bank to anyone preparing for the RTRP Exam.

This is an excellent well-written and detailed book. The information in this book is very close to the real exam. If somebody studys this material in detail and does the practice problems online, the chances are very good of passing the test.
