Every single fitting was loose.
Every single fitting was loose. No grip on handle. Thought this would be a good replacement for my father's cheap plastic one. But I had to send it back...ALL fittings were loose. ALL OF THEM.

Cannot recommend
They don't make 'm like thy used to. had one of these (same model/design) for about 10 years & lost it in a flood. tried other designs & was not happy with them, so was delighted when I found this. But alas, this item is not well-built. Jaws did not align; mechanism overall loose and sloppily made. Fortunately we are handy and creative and were able to get it working with the addition of some grommets, and a bit of bending. But it just doesn't have the precision and strength of our old one. I really could not recommend it to anyone.

I would not recommend using it to reach for something made of glass
I am unsure, but I believe there should of been a magnet on either side of the red grippers, but only one side had the magnet. The other side had glue on the gripper. It is okay to use, but you have to be careful what you pick up; the grippers do not hold that tight. I would not recommend using it to reach for something made of glass. Thanks.

Not dependable.
Very cheaply made. Had to fill hollow handle with a dowel to use. Anything more than a can of corn, peas ECT. Bends the metal. Grip is not dependable.

I do like the wooden rod
It is very cheaply made, the grabber hands overlap and every time I've tried to use it the handle comes unhooked... I can tweak it to work for what I need though. Wasn't expecting to buy parts and "re-build" it but, I do like the wooden rod.

Three Stars
Very cheaply made but it's usable for now.

2nd one I've bought
Living in a quad level house, I've bought a few different grabbers over the years. This was the first one I had, and it's easily the best style. Precision tongs and slim wood handle.
