Year-Round Quilting With Patrick Lose: 24+ Projects to Celebrate the Seasons

Great Book. Highly recommend

First let me say, I am a big Patrick Lose fan. I have completed several of his projects and always been happy with the results. Directions are easy to follow. Therefore, I was looking forward to "Year Round Quilting" and the seasonal projects. Unfortunately, at least four of the 24 projects in the book I have from other publications -- Fons and Porter magazine, Patrick Lose quarterly magazine, etc. I felt like I had been cheated and paid twice for these patterns. I incorrectly assumed the book would be original with original work, not a compilation from other sources. Too bad. Now I will be most reluctant to purchase any other Patrick Lose products.

Great quilt book

This is a book that gives you a variety of quilting projects, although only 4 of them are quilts. It is divided into months with 2 projects for each. Some of the projects are banners, pillows, throws or wall hangings.There is some help with techniques, but personally I would advise someone who has never quilted before to get a more elementary book for beginners. What is listed as basic help in here is a list of tools and some notes on fabrics, applique, layering and quilting. There are no diagrams in the basic section. Binding does have photo illustrations.This is a book to give you some straightforward projects.
