Strings came slightly corroded, even in plastic wrap. The wound 3rd string threw off the intonation by an entire fret, even with the saddle maxed out. The rest of the strings had no issues in this regard, but the affected string was unplayable

I ordered a set of these to use on a lap steel guitar. They arrived promptly, but on inspection the 11 and 14 gauge strings had easily visible patches of corrosion which felt extremely rough (not much use for slide guitar playing?). I returned them with a request that the replacement set be checked before they were posted out. The replacement set arrived the next day, but I was unhappy that they were corroded in the same way as the first set I had been sent. I returned these too, but am unwilling to risk another set arriving iand being unfit for purpose. I am also unwilling to burn more petrol making a third trip to the nearest Post Office.

My review was rejected as it “didn’t meet the guidelines” set by Amazon - so here is a resubmission sticking to factual statements.The strings are rusty. They have rusted through the packet. Every string is rusty. They arrived rusty. Rust. Not useable.Please also read other peoples reviews.

I bought these as I needed to Chuck some cheap flatwounds on a guitar. I should have spent more and got some better quality ones. The high E and B string were unusable due to corrosion. The flatwound strings themselves were dead sounding, didn’t stay in tune and felt awful under my fingers. I’ve only ever used D’addario and Thomastik ones before. They are well worth the money and last ages. I had these on for a week to give them a try and they were disappointing.

Like other reviews, I received a set of strings with obvious corrosion. Only evident in my case on the top two strings, but even so - poor.

Every string - all six - had rust and corrosion easily visible. I expected new fresh strings. Tried GHS based on reviews. My fault. I will stick with Olympia.
