Great quality catnip toy
I have 2 cats aged around 18 months - the female, Marcia is confident and playful. The male, Marcus, is very nervous and has to pluck up courage to play with new toys. I chose this toy based on the good reviews. Also, Marcus likes to bite the stalk on real bananas if he gets the chance so I thought he might like the shape.I unwrapped the Catnip banana and kept it in the plastic packaging while waiting for Marcia to come in and investigate. However, Marcus came in and started rolling around on the invoice, slobbering over it and acting like he was in love with it.This is unheard of behaviour for him, so clearly the catnip in the banana is very strong. By the time I opened the packaging he'd had his catnip fix and wasn't interested in the banana.Marcia took the banana and much hilarity ensued with her kicking and biting it, flipping back and forth, she was quite savage with it but the banana held up to this mauling, which went on for 10 minutes. After she calmed down I took the rather sodden banana (she drooled on it a lot while bashing it) and put it standing upright in Marcus' basket.Marcus went wild for it, hooking it out of the basket, rolling around and biting it. The banana has some big fang marks in it but the catnip remains secure inside. He raked it extensively with his claws but it remains in good condition. My cats seem to self-regulate their exposure to catnip, stopping after 10 minutes,so we do take the banana away when they lose interest. The scent must linger - Marcus is now very playful in his basket and I think that's the residual catnip scent from the banana.Despite repeated biting and vigorous clawing the toy is still in good condition. If you want a well made, strong catnip toy for your kitties, buy this.

Really neat product. Buy one!
I bought one a little time ago, and it was an instant hit with my cat, Ziggy, who is a large Maine Coon cat. He loves it, and chucks it around in the early morning mainly, lots of scampering and banging in the living room, he plays with it during the day as well, but generally falls asleep with it under his paw or using it as a head rest. He was relatively gentle with it, but we have cat neighbours, and one in particular "Oscar" a small black cat is a hooligan basically, eats anything in sight, tears open the whiskas pouches if left out, and chewed the banana until the seams and came apart, so it is rather deflated now, and grubby looking, so it was time to consign to bin, but I have ordered another one as a replacement as Ziggy will be wondering where it has gone, and it will be "Oscar" who gets the blame, so there might be trouble in the cat world, hope it arrives soon.

Your cats will go catnip crazy... :)
Our cat is 19 years old, and recently he's been feeling his years a bit. We decided that he needed a bit of perking up and, following the great reviews of this toy, decided to get him one to see if we could rekindle the kitten in him.The package arrived whilst I was out and I came home to find our cat slobbering on and chewing the packaging. So far so good - seemed to be a hit! When we actually managed to extract the packaging from him and get the banana out it was so lovely to see him playing with it - kicking it, chewing it and carrying it around. It's definitely quality catnip because we've tried other catnip toys and, whilst he's vaguely interested for the first hour or two, they are then abandoned and not played with again. This banana, though, had him in raptures for a good few weeks and now, several months on, he still loves it and returns to beating it up occasionally as well as goes to sleep with his head on it. We're going to treat him to another as it's been such a fantastic toy for him.If you're thinking about buying this, do give it a try. It's by far the best catnip toy we've ever bought!

Ignored by cats
Having bought one of these before, which the boys just about destroyed from playing with it so much, decided to replace. This came with a very strong smell and not catnip .... the boys will have nothing to do with it. A waste of money.

Cat loves it
Our cat loves this banana, its catnip effect appears to last for a long time and the toy is durable enough to have withstood many mouths and paws! Our only complaint and why we have deducted a star is the material it is made from attracts dirt easily and picks up hair etc from the surface it is on, as such while the toy is still in one piece it would need a good wash before we would want to give it back to the cat and we believe this will remove the cat nip allure from it.

My cat loves this.
I bought this for my ten year old rescue cat to get his blood pumping and his excitement levels through the roof. It is now slightly discoloured as his preferred method of play is to dribble over it and rub his face on it. He does get very protective over it if you try to take it away from him when he's having a good time with it but he doesn't use it all the time. It lives in his bedroom whereas his other toys are in the living room so every now and then he will be sitting on his favourite little piece of spare carpet and HELLO! he's having a cosmic time with catnip banana. It doesn't show any sign of breaking though it is starting to look a bit old so I might get him a new one. I did read some reviews about the cats having a Banana Man style reaction but I think they must feed their cats crack.

Not impressed!
Both my cats sniffed at it, walked away and haven't bothered with it since. I have tried all sorts to get them interested with no result. Complete waste of money. The other one I had came from America I think while this one is made in China. Avoid!

Amazing!
You can't miss the smell of catnip coming off of this, and nor did my cat! She began rolling on the packaging and rubbing her head all over it. Having given her the banana she went completely mental, and even the cat whose not normally interested in toys like these loves it! Do watch your fingers and toes when they play with these though as it does send cats crazy! This appears to be good quality (my cats are yet to destroy it) and keeps them well entertained. Good purchase!

Love!
Our cats love their entire line of catnip toys! So far we have the banana (had to replace), the pepper, and the carrot. The banana is the favorite and has gotten so much use that they ripped a hole in it, so we have replaced it. The pepper has held up great so far. The carrot's feather was ripped off in 30 seconds, but the rest of it has held up well. These are great toys!

Simply unbeatable catnip toys...
They really don't look like much - a very plain but durably made fish design, banana, etc. But boy will your cat go gaga-googoo over it. These are the best catnip toys ever! My cat goes bonkers over this thing, it's pretty incredible to watch. They must be filled with really good catnip. I will say that you should buy the smaller ones they make because the larger ones (cactus) seem to have diluted or less potent catnip in them.Alas...I so wish I could wash them, they get so ugly and dirty looking even after your cat has only slobbered over them for one play session...

Review
I purchased 6 of these for my cats for the holidays. They have yet to play with them but would like to say they are large and so bright. They also look sturdy. I think they will luv them and most likely will always repurchase them and other cat nip toys this shop has. I will update if I have an issue.

Great cat toys for kitten and adult cat!
Wow! Our cats really liked these toys! I got the cactus and the red pepper and they have had a blast with them both for the couple days we've had them so far. I included pictures of them playing with the pepper (a bit blurry since they are in action!). We have both a new kitten (13 weeks old) and an adult cat (11 year old, large at 12 lbs) and they both love the new toys. The adult cat likes catnip and is reacting like there is catnip in the toys, so that's a signal there is truly catnip in there. The toys are a light canvas type material (so it's flexible, not stiff) and appears well-sewn. You can feel the crunch of the catnip inside when you squish the toy. I read someone else's input about scrunching the toys to "freshen" up the catnip and that makes sense - just like any dried herb. Here are some measurements for those who want to know -- The cactus is about 6.25" tall x 3.5" wide.- The pepper is about 7" tall x 2" wide. They are both a good length for cats who like to do the bunny shred with their hind feet - our kitties did that immediately, of course! They are sewn shut, so are not refillable. Although, you can always just rub some catnip on the outside of any toy and your cats will like that, too...at least that has always worked for us with our many cats who liked catnip over the years. :)Have fun!c~
