Purolator A26114 Classic Air Filter

I put this in my 2010 Prius. I am sure the filter material is not as good as the Toyota original filter by Denso. However, with the amount of money I saved from the parts and labors... that made my day. This one is a little bit different from the original... it has some wired on top of the filter, sure makes it look even better than the original but the filter material is what makes the difference... even though the materials used by Purolator is not as good as the Denso one, I still think it's a good buy for the price.

Perfectly fits my Prius 3rd generation and probably many more other vehicles. Not the best option for your money but the filter holder is a plus. It helps to prevent debris, leaves, etc from ending up in the engine. Too many ribs that prevent the best air flow.

This fits my Prius perfectly. However it has fewer pleats than the factory model (roughly, perhaps ½ the pleats). That means less filter surface area, and ultimately, shorter lifespan. I plan to spend $3 extra dollars and get the Toyota filter next time.

I was disappointed when I compared this product with the original Toyota filter I was replacing. The Purolator had far fewer fins or folds than the original. Less folds equals less surface area equals less capacity to filter. Next time I will find a filter equal to the original, even if it means I have to buy the Toyota Brand. That being said it had the correct over all dimensions and fit securely in the holder with a good rubber parameter.

Not as pretty as some of the more expensive filters, but gets the job done. I purchased this for my 2011 Prius. I was careful to vacuum out all particles inside the filter compartment before putting in the new filter. This Purolator filter has now been in place for two months and 3,000 miles and works just fine. It always makes me feel good when I can save a few bucks and still get a quality product.

Fit as expected but I have know idea whether the filter is any good. How do you measure that?

Not much to say. It fits. It works. It's at a great price. I put a lot of miles on my Prius. So I use a lot of filters each year. This is the mainstay engine air filter fir both of my 2010 Prius'.
