AM3450a 3/4 HP Mover/Dryer Air Blower, 20.5x19x21.5, Black

This thing is powerful! I was looking for something to blow up my inflatable planetarium - not a typical use, I know. The fan I had been using for years worked well except when large numbers were entering and exiting. I needed something with more air flow to keep the planetarium full of air even when folks were letting a bunch of air out. I tried FIVE different fans before finally splurging on this one. All the previous ones boasted high CFMs but there must not be any regulation in the market for these numbers because none of them came even close to this one. It was above what I wanted to spend but I don't regret it at all! This fan keeps it inflated even on the LOWEST setting. It is super powerful.

It isn’t balanced very well and the switch didn’t take long to break. It moves plenty air as expected.

I bought this to dry up a room after a bathroom overflow and it worked well.It is very loud, to the point i had to switch it off over night as it was too noisy to sleep (bedrooms 20-30' away from fan and all doors shut).Monitoring the power the unit consumed, i realized it is about 75% as powerful as rated/claimed. Not far enough off to warrant any action. Despite running less than rated, the unit uses a lot of power and actually significantly warmed up the room i used it in which is about 12'x14' when the doors were closed.I had to use it a second time when i had a water heater leak in my basement - The unit moved enough air not only to dry up the basement, but also to keep the floor dry despite an on-going small drip for the few days it took to get my heater replaced.Would recommend.

Worked great while it lasted. 3 months and motor out.

It dried my carpet quickly. The three settings to me appear close together in output.

As of this review has literally been running for 3 weeks straight. Not even a slight shake. If the last one I got fro amazon was a gremlin this is the rools Royce of air movers. You turn it on and it moves air and continues to do so until you shut it off

Almost forgot I had bought this after Hurricane Irene. It has come in handy over the past year in drying out our basement after flooding. The price was right and the blower was strong enough to 'bend' around corners between the basement wall and wall paneling (we didn't have an opening on one side). We also used to dry out torn out wall to wall carpet. This will be used in the future to dry paint, future flood repairs and other projects with fast drying needs. Only reason it doesn't get five stars is because it's an energy hog.
