Walker53440 Exhaust Pipe for Jeep Cherokee

I purchased this pipe along with a new Walker Y pipe and gasket about a year ago and have had 0 complaints. The fit was good, it came with an extra 02 bung that is perfect for running a wide band, and after getting a few good hits in the rocks it's holding up well. I can't comment on fit with the rest of the exhaust system because nothing after this pipe is factory, but from the engine back to the transmission cross member, this pipe was perfect.

I gave it two stars because it arrived on time and the overall dimensions were correct. However; the welds are pathetic and barely seal the areas they cover. They come pre rusted at the weakest point, and in some cases were missed all together. This will not pass inspection in my state and I will be expecting a replacement that functions as well as a full refund.

Ever notice how people complain about welds regardless of whether they can or can't? This peice is a Good fit, well constructed, east to install, the stickers burn off, you'll need your own 3 hole header gasket. I also bought the Y you can do this.

Fits well on my 2001 XJ, at least with the other Walker components as part of a full exhaust replacement. The pipe, flanges, and hangers all seem pretty heavy duty for the price. My only gripe is the fact that Walker feels the need to plaster their pipes with wraparound stickers that are almost impossible to remove, I'd love to meet the jackwagon at Walker that came up with that brilliant plan.

I'd like to be able to say this is a great 5star product by way to many issues. Made absolutely certain to check with Walker's website first so I know I bought the correct item but it is just not a good fit, finish.The pipe is poorly welded and covered in stickers galore. The holes for the bolts are 3/8" but the gasket which I purchased (once again verified with Walker's website first) are maybe a hair under 5/16". Who designed this thing. The bolt holes are to big and the gasket holes are way to small. The bolt used were 5/16" and the gasket would not fit it properly.The pipe is incorrectly bent so there is poor fitment at each flange and the flange is way bigger the the oem.Poor wleds, fit, finish and bends made a job that should have been smooth a nightmare.

I have gone through 3 front exhaust pipes. The original that came with the jeep. The first one by walker that I bought on quadratec, and now this one which I purchased in may. This is didn't even last 3 months. I sprayed high heat spray paint to prevent any rust from winter. It's currently summer and I have a gaping hole where the exhaust hanger is welded on the pipe. terrible quality.

This pipe extends to far and hits the cross member it is aggravating. The metal piece extends to far out of the bracket.

Perfect fit for my 2001 XJThe old pipe wasn't rotted, but the hanger was. If you live in an area that gets snow, I'd use high temp spray paint around the hanger especially. Keep it from rotting away
