This flashlight is great for ultralight backpackers. It is 10 lumens and lights up the area near you great. It works for use around the camp and can be used as an emegency night hike flashlight. The hat clip and belt clip both work great. This flashlight replaced my Streamlight LED for backpacking and has saved me over 1 lb alone. Of course, the Streamlight is usually the brightest light where ever I camp. This light will also work great around the home when you only need to light a small area. I got the purple one and saved a few bucks too!Update: Sep 2016I have had this flashlight for several years now and love it more than ever. It is great! I gave one to my son and daughter to backpack with and they love it too. My son lost his and constantly asks for another one since all the other lights he has used to replace it just do not work like this one. I will get him another one. This flashlight is my go to flashlight that I take camping every time I go. I may take other lights car camping but I still keep this one handy because it fits any where so I keep it with me and if I run late somewhere I still have a light source with me and not miles away in my pack. I keep a set of spare batteries in my emergency kit but honestly, with a fresh set of batteries this light will last for weeks on a hike with average use.

This is the seventh light I've purchased. (Found my first one at REI) I have them stashed everywhere. I keep one in my pocket and one in my purse at all times. Ever since the Northridge quake of 1994 when we lost all power and thought it was the end of world, I actually sleep with one everynight (I hook it on a shoestring around my neck - which also makes a great night light if I get up in the middle of the night - just turn it on and you can see where you're going.) (Yes - I'm very afraid of the dark now). They last seemingly FOREVER and are very rugged. I also give them as gifts. They give off a very bright light and are very lightweight. It cracks me up that everyone gets on my case for having these lights all around but as soon as someone drops something under a table or booth, or needs to see into their purse, or behind the car seat, etc. - they are sudednly so glad I have my light handy! It's very sturdy (I do give it a lot of abuse)and the clip holds on very well. Buy several!

Functionally, this is one of the better designs - I've had pocket flashlights with slide switches which often turned on in my pocket. I ordered two lights this time (the other in purple) for me and my wife. I would have rated this light a 4 or 5 stars but when I turned on both lights through the unopened packagings this one was far fainter than the other one. Most probably old stock with a battery nearing expiration. Will send back for a free replacement, but a pain to have to go to UPS.Update: Amazon sent me a replacement "pink" lamp, but the battery in this one was also nearly exhausted (I'm comparing the output of this one and the previous "pink" lamp with the output of the "purple" lamp I purchased initially with the first "pink" lamp). Bottom line is that their stock of this lamp in the pink color is probably old stock and should be avoided. Another pain the backside with another trip to UPS to return this one. I just ordered a second lamp from the "purple group (I need 2 lamps in all) and hopefully this one will be mach the brightness of my orignal purple colored lamp.

Nice small keychain (or anything) light. Easy to replace the batteries (#2016).

I use this light on the zipper pull of the jacket I wear when walking the dog. The light is easy to turn on and off while wearing gloves in the winter, the clip is easy to attach to a zipper pull or to a key ring and the light is plenty bright to help me see so I can pick up after my dog at night. I also use this light to see when I'm trying to fit a key into a lock at night -- it's a great tool for this purpose. In a pinch, this light is bright enough to read by in the dark. The Impulse Multipurpose Light also comes with a clip so that you can attach it to the brim of a baseball cap and use it as a hands-free light, but I've never had occasion to try this accessory because the basic light works so well on my zipper. If I have any gripe at all about this product it is that it is just a wee bit larger than I might like for my use of it as a zipper-pull accessory.

Ever want to go hiking and get up in the dark? Then attach this littlelight to your hat or cap or on your pack and head on out! I bought thisto use when walking the Camino to Santiago de Compostela, day hiking about 15-20 Km per day. But we headed out in the dark sometimes and this lightwas strong enough for me to see where I put each footstep and if I put iton flash mode, one of my fellow walkers knew I needed help! I chose the green light but it also comes with other colored lights. I can see myself buying more of these because I want one for each of my key chains, and oneto keep in my car! My sister uses these because she is a 'birder' and itis just enough light to see but not enough to scare away birds in the early morning. If you think about it there are probably more uses!

Put in your ten essentials kit and forget it... until you need it. It will be there and will work. Ultralight emergency lighting for backpacking. Won't disturb your tent mate. Battery lasts for years.

Love this light as a backup light to clip on my backpack.

この手のライトは世間に多くまったく珍しくありませんが、ふと「カラビナ・キャップ用クリップへの付け替えが可能」に反応して購入。キーホルダーサイズで超小型軽量なライトは本当に沢山ありますがクリップ付きの物は大型のものが多かったので不便でした。このインパルスも少し大きめですがCap のツバにつけても気にならない重さです。帽子をかぶらない時でもベルトに付けて足元灯にして使ってます。機能的には４ルーメンの明るさは普通で、ターボ、ノーマル、省電力、点滅(遅)、点滅(早)と選んで点灯可能も月並みですが外している機能も無いです。点灯時間は約12〜36h。CR2016電池×２枚。防滴。欲を言えばカラビナとクリップが排他ではなく、クリップにキーリングが付いていれば便利だったかと。使わない時には鞄にぶら下げられます(紛失防止にもなりますし)。

最初、バイクのキーホルダーに付けていたのですが、なにしろデカい。そしてカラビナ部分とライト部分が簡単に抜ける落としたら最期のバイク用には使えません今は自宅キーのキーホルダーに付けてます
