We only have one pair of eyes, I personally dont like to use chemicals that can have nasty side effects. this may cost 5x more than a plastic alternative but how much are your eyes worth? This is safe to use, easy to clean and there is enough research out there that confirms plastic is not good for your health. This is well made, fits the eye well making a perfect seal. I just use filtered water and Himalayan salt. safe effective and clean.

Does what it is supposed to
Works well with saline. No instructions provided. You put the full basin to your open eye, staring into the bowl and moving your eyes around. Good for dry eyes, contacts, getting foreign bodies like insects, eyelashes out, or residue from eye make-up. Downside: slightly jagged rough edge on rim. I would have hoped an item made for use on the eye would be made with greater care.

It does the job but lacks style or much comfort. End up with a stream of liquid down my face.
