Very sturdy, We've had it for about 4 months now. we have two small boys. so far the magic eraser has managed to take all marks off. the wood is not really soft but obviously this is not a really hard wood. There are some dents and divits, but we knew this would happen with our children. The chairs are very sturdy and partially the reason we bought this set.... because the base has an extra set of supports. My dad and husband put this together in a couple hours and my dad was impressed that he din't have to add any additional hardware. My dad always seems to add extra hardware and supports when buying things that need assembly. So to impress him is to say something! A bonus is we are a family of 4, so we use the bench by our doorway beside our coat rack. Our shoes go under it and we put bags and backpats and a crate of winter hats gloes and scarves on top. SO it is great bang for the buck and nice extra seating when the grandparents come by!

I had bought this to replace a somewhat dilapidated table. I didnt want to spend much so didnt expect much from this table, but I was impressed. The quality is great! The chairs are somewhat heavy, but thats a good thing as the construction is very good. The quality of the wood is fantastic, the packaging is great. My wife and I are very impressed.

I've had this dining set for 2 months now and absolutely love it!! We have a small house with no dining room, just some space in our kitchen for a table, so a bench on one side was a must, and the size of this table is perfect. The table is solidly constructed, solid wood, and has a nice finish. It shipped quickly and was packaged and delivered with care. Hoping it lasts for many many years!!

This is a very solid dining set and a very good value. It was very easy to assemble, and none of the pieces wobble on the tile surface where we have placed the table. The chairs are comfortable (more comfortable to me than the cushioned chairs of the dining set we replaced with this one). This is not a formal dining set but makes a great, well-crafted, casual dining set for a kitchen nook or similar location.Also, a couple of quick notes on shipping: the pieces were packaged very well but do be aware, you will have to set up a delivery date and be present for the delivery.

This table and chairs will be going in our park home when it arrives later this month. It's the perfect size and was very easy to assemble. Perfect for jigsaw puzzles because I'll finally be able to see all the pieces.

This is a solid piece of furniture - I bought it to replace an old rickety Ikea Jokkmokk, and the quality in construction is obvious. It's made of much heavier wood, and feels very sturdy. It took two of us about 2 hours to assemble. I like the option of the bench as we can easily fit seven people at the table instead of just six, and the bench can be stored underneath the table if necessary. It's fairly large for an eat-in kitchen table, but having the extra surface area is helpful and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I have the solid wood chairs and they are very comfortable.

Great table. The bench is long but still can be pushed under the table. Fits perfectly in my tiny space. I can fit all three of my kids comfortably on the bench.

Just want I wanted for our home. It's a great central area of our day, a crisp location to center mealtime. And kids love the bench.
