Priya Tomato Pickle 300g (Pack of 2)

I am a born south Indian where this pickle is originated. When I read the reviews there was a comment every piece has got a bit of seed attached and so it was disliked. But that is the way it should be (one has to chew and enjoy the juicy taste and throw it out)and that was the reason for my order. Unfortunately what I saw is exactly opposite . Tiny pieces of mango roughly one fourth of the size they should be and no seed attached which makes the mango pieces very soft and mushy as there is no hard bit to be attached. Loads of gravy and very few pieces and I had to dig deeper and deeper to find one which was about 1 cm size. Flavour is good , the way it should be. The price is terribly high compared to Asian supermarkets.

I love Indian pickles and this was recommended to me by an Indian colleague as authentic - at the milder end of what he'd eat 'back home'. It's got a pleasant chilli hit and is just really tasty. My first jar of this only lasted two days!

I prefer the Gongura & red chilli over the bitter gourd pickle, though both are nice. But this one...I can actually eat spoons of it straight from the jar. I'm not kidding. I think it is so delicious!

Priya is a great brand and love the taste, I usually buy the same for £1.20 and £5.99 seems to be a bit expensive but yes could be the covid price.

Excellent value. A very tasty recipe of fresh ginger and spice. The highly concentrated mixture is economical and very good value. You need to taste this!
