Works Great!
I had to replace my original charger because the puppy chewed mine to bits. It's a fabulous alternative to paying $100 or more for the OEM charger. There were no compatibility issues with this product. It LOOKS a little different than the OEM unit, but it works just as well. I didnt notice any difference in operation or performance.In fact, it worked SO well, I am buying another one today. Okay, so I got another puppy, and yes, *sigh*... HE chewed up the first one :) This time, I ALSO bought a battery charger that plugs directly into the wall. (no cords for my 2 dogs to chew up ;) Also, the original transaction was smooth, the product arrived on time, and in great condition.

Not a charger
This item is NOT A BATTERY CHARGER but it does allow you to finalize your disc. You will have to buy a seperate charger. It does not fit tight in the camera but does work. Still with the added cost of the charger it was cheaper then what Canon wanted. Don't you know it I found my original charger (lovely wifey).

Low cost.
Camera cord a little flimsy, i had to repair it after a year of use.

NOT A "CHARGER"
This equipment is not compatibale with the VIXIA HF10 as a "Charger". First of all, the equipment did not even seat all the way in to my camera. Also, I was under the impression that I was purchasing a replacement charger for my camera. This is an AC Adapter, which according to customer service only powers the camera and does not charge the battery at all. So I guess I'm supposed to record videos with the cable plugged into the wall. REALLY??? But, since the adapter doesn't seat all the way into the equipment, it just slips out if there is any movement in the cord. After reading other reviews, I thought I was getting a good deal on a replacement part... Boy was I wrong. Will be returning.

Works fine for a bargain price
Works perfectly so far for 10% of the price of the Canon unit. It both acts an A/C adapter and charges the battery in my HG10 camcorder which was a concern since some other reviewers said it didn't. No problems so far and I saved a lot of money.

Lost my original adaptor and this replacement works perfectly and fairly inexpensive.
