The Cats Demand MEOOORE!
We have some cats - and one has UT problems - she had several visits to the vet for that - this food seems to have helped. Switched her to this and a dry urinary food as well - she has gone as much as a year without a problem since then. Our other cats just eat it and don't turn up their noses, they love the canned food on top of their dry.

CAT & MOMMY APPROVED
My cat was on Hills Prescription K/D for the past 4.5 years, but grew bored no matter what yummiest topping I used. So, I decided on Purina versus Royal Canine (UTI), because though the ingredients are animal by products, it's without wheat gluten or peas as fillers. And, also cheaper. My sweet baby boy looooves his new food. Loves all the flavors, though his favorite are both of the shredded chicken and turkey, with lots of gravy.

Economical higher-quality FLUTD food
I live with three cats, one of which has to be on a relatively pricey canned prescription diet for a urinary tract condition. The problem is, this very same cat (Fred) loves to gobble down anything he can find, especially leftovers from the other two. I've started feeding this to my other two cats that don't have the condition, as a preventative measure, and also to feel safe feeding them all at the same time and not having to worry if Fred picks up their scraps. I adopted him as an adult, and I think the people that had him as a kitten starved him or fed him a lot of "people food," as I've caught him eating the weirdest stuff -- from pizza to sugar cookies to jalapenos. This also might explain why his system is a little messed up.Frisky's also has a "Special Diet", which is cheaper and therefor probably not as good for kitties. I ordered that, too, just as a back-up if my other two wouldn't eat Proplan. I would say they all preferred ProPlan over Frisky's Special Diet (except Fred, who would gleefully scarf down hot garbage if he could get his paws on it). Cats like what they like, and my cats have slightly more expensive taste -- again, except for Fred, who has quite an indiscriminate attitude towards food.I spoke with the vet about possibly switching Fred from his prescription diet to ProPlan and they reassured me that this was a very good food for cats with urinary tract problems, too. Fred is the least picky cat I know when it comes to food, so I would only switch if cost because an issue. I love my cats and they have a great life with me, but there are very occasionally some months where I have to eat off-brand ramen so I can pay the bills....so sometimes my cats have to slum it with me. They are pretty good sports about it. :) I am planning to keep feeding this to my other two cats, with extras on hand for Fred if necessary. The delivery option is GREAT to save on trips to the store, and you can "subscribe" and save a buck or so. If you do the math right (I didn't the first time, whoops), you can ensure the new palate arrives just as your little friends are polishing off the last couple cans. If you have prime, it even ships for free. Extremely convenient, cost effective, and perfect for the cat owner who would rather spend time at home with their cats than out running errands for them. I would highly recommend this product, especially with the subscription if you're kind of lazy and a home-body like me :)Only negative thing I have to say: I just wish they came in bigger cans. I do recycle, but I feel that one large can would make less waste than two smaller cans. On the other hand, my fridge isn't full of half-full cans after the cats eat their breakfast....

Vet- and Cat-approved
One of our three family cats - found with their mother and two siblings as strays on our back porch not quite three years ago. We didn't meant to have *any* cats, let alone three, but what can you do? - developed a urinary tract blockage in March. Within two days he went from being just as healthy as his sisters to near death. The emergency vet we took him to first couldn't really do much for him at their office and referred us to another amazing, if expensive, vet. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, they were not capable to monitor him overnight, so to a 24-hour vet he went. This back and forth continued for days. Fortunately, surgery saved our boy, but keeping our goofball healthy in the now and in the future means keeping him on a specialty diet for the rest of his life.We ended up choosing this food quite by accident, but we're thankful for it all the same. It was one of three recommendations from his vet and was the only one in stock at the pet store when we went to pick some up the day he came home. He enjoyed the salmon flavor at first, but once he tried the chicken entrée he refused to settle for anything else. None of the stores around us in our very large city carry the large cases in anything but the variety pack, so to the internet we came. The food comes right to our door within a few days of ordering and has been out of stock only once.I probably would have thought this food inferior to the other brands based on the price points, but he remains as healthy as can be on it, so I've done my best to retrain my bias. We've only just added the dry food from this line into his diet - we soak it in a few tablespoons of water to soften it and add more hydration - but he seems to be just as crazy about that.If your cat has suffered any from a urinary blockage I highly recommend this food. Check your preconceived notions at the door, but do be prepared for a finicky palate. Our boy doesn't seem to get tired of the same thing everyday, so hopefully if your cat is as picky as ours they'll also be as tolerant!
