These gloves are not without issues however they are what i need as i have some heavy field hoe work the next few weeks and in the past with standard work gloves i wear a blister in the thumb forefinger saddle. That costs me time and its painful as i still have to get the work done. These gloves seem to have sufficient protection in this respect.They are made for handling wire and they seem suited for that task and the palm, thumb and forefinger are very well protected as the picture suggests. Now these are not form fitted gloves in fact the finger length gaps seem arranged along an even line as opposed to slight anatomical curve leaving the gap between first two fingers slightly short and the gap between ring & pinky finger shorter and the pinky finger as a result noticeably short. As these size / ergonomic issues are due to the gloves design and not due to defect and are not a hindrance for wire work or hand tool use i did not think it fair taking a star off for it. It may be that for this design cow leather is the best choice because cost does matter though if i had a slightly better fitted glove, but heavy weight goat it would likely double the cost.I am not a typical user as most people wont be trying to use a field hoe ten hours a day and i like that i can tell these gloves are going to need a little breaking in. I will be following up on this review in the next week as these are just first impressions and how cowhide responds to heavy use and getting soaked in sweat.
