Note: The version I got was a previous version of the same model, with orange nylon straps and plastic buckles instead of black leather straps and metal buckles. I like mine better aesthetically and functionally!This is a really good deal for the price. It's not super "wide" (it's wide enough, but it doesn't stretch or anything) but it's really deep. I could probably fit 3-4 days worth of clothing in there if I had to. I haven't travelled with it yet but I think it will work really well. Lots of nice inner pockets. The light blue lining makes it easy to find things in the bag. The bag doesn't stand up very well on its own, because it's so tall. But if it was somewhat full it probably would. The shoulder straps are thickly padded and fairly comfy. I am glad I picked this one!

Had been searching for a backpack I could easily fit 17" laptop and extra monitor, conference speaker, all the cords/charger, couple 1-2" books and my leather 1.5" portfolio notebook. The key for me was to be able to get everything in and out without much trouble. I honestly chose this one because it had orange strips for closure (football team colors and not all black). But this backpack is perfect for my needs. I put my laptop in the computer pocket and have my extra monitor in a padded case in front of this. Put notebook and books in front with cords and such on top. I like the front outside pocket to hold essentials and be able to get to them without having to take bag off my shoulder. Front pocket bigger than I thought it would be, about size of small/medium clutch purse. First day using was a rainy one off and on and everything stayed dry. Was not in rain for long is only reason I did not rate waterproofing higher. I was able to carry travel umbrella and water bottle with the 2 side pockets. Have not used the USB charging option but like that it is available. Padding on back made for nice carrying experience despite heavy load. While bag does not have security features which might be found in others, I still feel like my stuff is protected from the elements and not crammed all together too tight. Feel like I got a product worth much more than I paid, honestly. Very pleased!!

Bag is ok. Don’t like the magnet design, it is hassle to align and just take more time to close it. Also, the bag is big but it can’t carry school supplies very well (not very efficient with the use of space). It has decent room to hold books (probably like 3-4 three subject notebooks for a rough idea with a laptop). But it doesn’t really have a dedicated spot for a ti-84 calculator and for your laptop charger (especially for gaming laptops). Finally the place where you put your pencils/pens are in a bad spot. They put them at the top, inside of the main compartment. So, if you’re carrying a heavy pen/pencil if will droop over and make you have to use both hands to hold the bag and to get your things out. CommentSome of these things are just me nitpicking but it is a decent bag overall. And the bag is comfortable to wear.

Holy cow, this backpack is awesome. Huge, but due to the drawstring top, it shrinks down to what's inside. Can easily hold like 5 or did normal sized books or three textbooks, and still have room on top for another 4 inches high worth of stuff (lunchbox, headphone case, packable rain jacket, etc). Plus, with the big top flap and a water-resistant treatment, AND the separate inner layer, it will hold up pretty well to rain and moisture. And it's very, very comfortable. I'm in love.

I go through backpacks like crazy because I carry a lot going to and from work on my bike. This carries a lot of equipment and it has not failed yet. It looks very slick and well built. It is also very comfortable and has tons of space in it. I really like the top opening it makes it much easier to overfill it without losing anything.

When it came time for me to replace my old computer backpack I spent a lot of time looking at different packs, and eventually settled on this one. Man am I glad I did! I love it! It's great to take my computer and graphics tablet different places regardless of if it's for fun or for school. And when I am going on a trip I can pack a decent amount of stuff into it while it's still comfortable. I'm looking forward to taking it with me this summer on my trip to Montana and seeing how it handles extended use, but I have high hopes for it! If you're looking for a multipurpose computer backpack, this one would definitely be a good contender.

This backpack is pretty much what I expected. It feels durable and has plenty of space and some nice internal pockets for organization. I like the style with the buckled down top flap opening since I feel it should work well for keeping out rain compared to a zipper, but I haven't had a chance to test that out thoroughly yet.Minor gripe: if you put anything with any significant weight in the internal pockets (which are near the top) the backpack won't stand up straight when you set it down unless the whole thing is filled. I wouldn't take off a star for this but some people might not like it.

We bought this for our high school kid that loves to break zippers on back packs. So far it is holding up well and he can fit way more into it than what he needs. We have not traveled with it. It I could definitely use it as a casual weekend bag though if you take a lot of shoes it would not work for you in that manner.As of now we are very happy with the purchase.
