Purchased for trimming the bushes in the garden. Easy to use and no cables to cut. Not ok for major hedge trimming jobs, but for quick keep it trimmed, perfect!

I liked the well shaped handle and trigger and easy to use safety switch. The initial charge took almost four hours, but subsequent charges were shorter - not more than two hours. It has a useful working time of about one and a half hours with a full charge after which it tends to stall on even small twigs or thick grass. The grass cutter (which I also use for trimming the low boxwood hedges which line the borders of our flower and shrub beds) was easy to use and very effective. However, I found the actual hedge trimmer that comes with the shears less effective - it would stall on any hedge or shrub with even light foliage. I have the impression that the cutting blades work too slowly. I have to say that I also found it tricky to actually exchange the cutting blades - lining up the blades to fit into the slots in the housing requires a very delicate touch. However, I do not anticipate that I will make much use of the hedge trimmer given its lack of power and will confine myself to using the grass trimmer which, as I said, does a very good job on grass edging as well as topiary work on our shrubbery.

Having failed years ago to use a strimmer as the cord always broke, for years I've been using a hand held edge cutter/shears thingy. I hated using it, crawling round on my knees all the way round the garden to try and make the edge look neat prior to mowing. Then I discovered these! They almost made trimming the edge fun! Obviously, it took a fraction of the time to cut the edge all round and I quickly learned the best way to use them. We also tried the hedge cutting attachment on some of the branches over-hanging from our neighbours garden. Pretty good at that too, but not that strong in as much as a branch 1cm thick was too thick for it to cut.But, the main reason for the purchase was the edge trimmer and it was worth every penny!We weren't sure how long the power would last, but it managed all the lawn edge plus me trying the over-hanging branches and still sounded full of juice.If I have any negative, it's that there are no instructions with respect to the best way to charge the battery i.e. let it run down and charge, or whether you can charge it after using each time. But there's a phone number in the manual, so I'll call them tomorrow.Best purchase of the year so far!

Sturdy easy to use, wasn’t easy changing the battery and was about to return and realized I had it the wrong way. I have mobility issues and struggle with hands but once worked out I can manage it quite easy. Great for small jobs

This product is fine and as easy to use as I expected. I did cut my patio lighting by mistake so you do need to be careful. I’m pleased with the product.

I bought this just for trimming the edges of my grass and it works really well. (Previous used hand shears with no motor which took ages.)(I made the mistake of instinctively reaching for a clump of cut grass in it's path and nicked my finger. I now wear a thick gardening glove on free hand and make a point of keeping that hand well out of the way!)Also it's better than my strimmer because the strimmer cuts the edges a little too short. More control with this.

This hand held clipper is a powerhouse. I’ve used it to clip grass edges with precision. I’ve used it to clip box hedges and on a bigger scale with the long blades I cut the leylandii tress that overhang from my neighbour’s garden and it managed the thicker branches brilliantly! I love it and would definitely recommend it for many jobs around the garden.
