501 German Verbs (Barron's 501 Verbs)

Excellent for English-speaking students learning German. When practicing writing or learning new words, it's great to have a super-thorough reference. Over an entire semester, there have been only a couple times where I couldn't find a verb I was looking for (and had to google it).Each page is dedicated to a single verb and all of its cases/tenses. Additionally, select "essential" verbs are highlighted throughout the book. Those have the same case/tenses as the rest, but has an additional page with examples and details of how it's used. This is my second Barron's verb book. I already have this same publication for French verbs. In my language classes I find myself turning it several times during any particular study session. Every possible conjugation for 501 of the most commonly used verbs are in this book. Super useful reference - an absolute must have for learners. I'd like to note that it's unfair that the low reviews for this book are because people do not like how a Kindle presents it electronically. The book itself is still great, and Kindle's poor formatting is no fault of Barron.

This is a "must have" book for anyone who is seriously studying the German Language. I especially appreciate the highlight of 55 "Essential Verbs" that every German Student should know. Thus, you can/should start with 55 verbs; you don't need to jump right into all 501.

A MUST-HAVE for aspiring language-learners! Not only is it organized in a way your teacher or professor could never lay out for you, it's complete with a comprehensive grammar course in the beginning. I own the Spanish version, too, and nothing makes me feel better about my language skills than this amazing review.

The printed format and content of the conjugations is great, but the lack of an index or table of contents listing each verb makes this ebook useless. It's enough to make you want to cry - or weinen in German. Trust me, you don't want to spend 5 minutes paging through this book to get to weinen. If you have an internet connection, an online German dictionary is far more useful (I especially like dict.leo.org).

Well, what can I say? There are lots of verbs. German verbs. 501 of them, in fact.At first I was concerned that the description wouldn't be accurate, and there would only be 500 German verbs, or WORSE, 502 (I don't have time for extra verbs. 501 is all the action I can take!)However, the description DOES seem to be accurate, thank goodness.Superb! 10/10 Would recommend!

The book has been improved, but the binding is terrible. Almost as soon as I opened it, the darn thing broke.

Buy the book, the print version. Trying to look up verbs, scroll, etc. on the kindle is beyond frustrating. No clickable table of contents, etc...grew up with these books, an indispensable tool for the language learner!

I refer to it all the time. It's very good and full of useful language information including exercises. What's particulalry good are the sections on the '55 most useful verbs'. It helps you focus on the most frequently used verbs.

Excellent publication. It is extremely useful with school work for my grandchildren and for checking German generally.

It's as expected however on opening the package the rear of the book had glue that stuck down the last 50 pages. Hopefully I can remove this. But was expecting a bit better as it was new not second hand.Hence I have only given 2 stars for this.

An excellent book comprehensive, well laid out and easy to use. Highly recommended.

A most useful publication when studying the less common german verb tenses.

Il testo è indispensabile per chi intendesse consultarlo ad integrazione del dizionario ove non tutti i tempi dei verbi sono riportati. E' importante anche per l'ampliamento della grammatica che non può coprire le sfumature riguardanti la formazione di tante voci verbali per esigenze di sintesi.

Excelente material para complementar mi clase y aprender por mi cuenta. Los verbos vienen bien explicados y los ejercicios son muy útiles.Lo recomiendo mucho a las personas que les gustaaprender por su cuenta.

Obviamente siempre faltarán más verbos pero ya con estos 501 no tengo problema, están expuestos de manera muy clara y bonita

Excelente diccionario!Utilizar ÚNICAMENTE si ya cuenta con conocimientos básicos del idioma ya que no es método para principiantes.

Não encontrei muitos verbos pesquisados, me surpreendeu pois tenho o livro similar 501 French Verbs e acho muito bom.
