Almost Brilliant, But Actually Not Very Usable
I had really high hopes for this unit's abilities. It's capable of creating some fantastic tones but they aren't stable and predictable enough to be useful. I've tried a single coil, a humbucker and even a clean boosted humbucker in front of this unit and even with plenty of signal the cool synth tones don't have a consistent enough attack, sustain or decay to give me control. I would get a cool sound from picking very lightly but after a few notes it would shift into something different that I didn't want. If I played something simple, loud and clean it would still sometimes glitch on the attack or break up mid note. Forget letting the sustain trail off. If you've ever played a hugely glitchy fuzz, that's basically the behavior it has no matter what you do. It can clearly create massive and cool sounds, just not how and when you want. I'm too disappointed to keep it.If what I'm describing sounds good to you then by all means get it. The build quality is top notch and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to someone who wants a crazy glitchy fuzzed out synth tone. I wanted those tones, but I wanted them to be stable and playable; more like the Boss SY-1. This is more like a fuzz face with a dead battery and a bad cable.

Not for Beginners
This is a complex pedal. Sounds really good if you get the right mix in. Not so good if you don't quite understand it. But once you have the hang of it its becomes really simple
