Best Performance Coil
Well, I actually bought my first Accel superstock ignition coil from kragen's for my own car and wow what a difference over a stock coil. Anyways this coil is for another one of the many family cars that use a canister style coil. It works so well that on my dads car, it improved his MPG from 23-25MPG to 28MPG on a 1979 Ford Mustang 2.3L 4 Cyl Gasoline No turbo, No A/C, No P/S. Car has a remanufactured block but has since been in the car for more than 5 years but less than 10 years.

Looks nice, but doesn't work
I originally rated this as a 4, but it is now a definite 1. It worked fine for a week, but then every time everything was up to temp and hot the motor would start to skip and just die on occasion at idle. I pulled this off and reinstalled my original coil, problem solved. I should have read the previous negative reviews as they describe the exact same issue that I experienced. This was installed in addition to the ACCEL 2010 Point Eliminator Kit. I figured since I was doing it might as well replace the 50 year old OE coil. Back to the original coil with the electronic ignition and the car is running outstanding.

Good alternative at a reasonable price
Works as it should. I had never used an external Accel coil, all others in my past were HEI units. I would not hesitate to buy another, should the need arise.

Easy install into my 83 brat
Easy install into my 83 brat. I did some other upgrades too so I don't know how much of the impact came from the new ignition coil, but my car has better power now. Had it installed in 10 minutes.

Works great.
A noticable improvement over the coil that was in my 1973 Ford 302. Works better AND I am sure that my car feels better with the chrome finish -- I know I do.

Failed after a few months
My truck wouldn't start and I found oil leaking out of the top of the coil. The coil had only been used a few months with a total of maybe 3-4 hours of run time. I contacted the manufacturer and was told "this is something we have seen and are not concerned about. It should not effect the performance." Then why is it that when I put a different coil in the truck it started right up? I saw some people in car forums saying that Accel products are junk now but I ignored them. I should have listened.
