This was a very sweet story about the positive aspect of differences that my 4 year old grandson who loves robots really liked. Nice illustrations also

Simple, fun Robot story.
I purchased this to read to my students during robot theme week. They loved it! Cute characters and simple story. Large book! Which is great when reading to 20 kids.It did come a little damaged, as a new book, but that's minor. Colors and illustrations are fantastic!

Perfect Story for Little Kids
The story is simple and it doesn't sacrifice the robot like some of the other children's books about robots. It has a simple message about the robot not liking how he sounds but then finds friends who are all different and it conveys it in a fun, kid-friendly way. Read this during story time to K-3rd and the kids loved it! (read it through a pre-programmed robot) :).

Good artwork and story
My son and I like the artwork and the story. My only complaints are that boom bot's lines don't really rhyme and Rusty's squeak doesn't get worked into the song at the end.

Rusy the unique robot
Got this for my 5 year old son for Christmas. He is infatuated with robots and recently said that this was his favorite book. Will not disappoint any other robot-loving children out there.

Bright, cheerful, LOUD and heaps of fun for kids to make 'music' with sounds and noise!
5★“He squeaked in the daytime and squeaked through the night. He squeaked so much it gave him a fright!”Rusty is a bright orange, square-headed robot who looks a bit as if he’s made out of bits of tin. Perhaps he’s a space-age version of the Tin Woodman! He can’t seem to move without making what he thinks are dreadful squeaking noises. Then along comes Belle, who looks, as her name suggest, like a bell. Rather than squeak, she seems to have a unicycle body so she rolls around dinging everywhere.“DING! Belle wheeled over. She was cheery and bright.‘Don’t worry Rusty. I’ll make it all right.’”She leads the way and they DING and they SQUEAK until they meet up with Hoot, who goes HONK!They collect more friends, and each sound is added to their “soundtrack” until we see them standing on the edge of the world staring out into space. Then suddenly:“But a BOOM interrupted! The noise shook the ground . . .”[My Goodreads review includes the illustration from this page.]And a big, bright boombox joins the party, and they dance and make music together happily. The illustrations are vibrant and LOUD and kids will love copying the sounds when they learn what kinds of noises these contraptions can make. And I’m sure they’ll invent new sounds and their own ways of saying DING, and HONK and BOOM, too.Lots of fun for grownups or older kids to read to little ones. Thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for the preview copy from which I’ve quoted and shared an illustration.P.S. I must not overlook the cleverly placed square ISBN and price barcode placed exactly on Rusty's square head on the back cover. Very sneaky. :)

Far far away on planet Robotone...
My two year old is obsessed with Robots so on the hunt for a nice story I came across Rusty the Robot and thought we would give it a go. Rusty the Robot is a fab story about a Squeaky Robot learning to love himself with the help of his new Robot friends. The illustrations are great and it has such a lovely message. I can’t recommend this book enough.
