USB Cable is not included, but required to get photos to a computer
3 Stars is only to be sure you're aware that a USB cable is not included in the bundle... but it IS required to transfer photos from the camera to your computer. WiFi transfer for this camera pertains to printers, to "connect" & to smartphones... NOT computers. Here's a copy/paste of the excellent email response I received from Canon, which I hope is helpful to others. "For the EOS Rebel T7 to connect to a computer a USB cable does need to be used. The EOS Rebel T7 uses a Mini-B to Type A USB cable. That is a standardized cable that should be available at any electronics store... The USB interface cable we offer [on the Canon website] that would work with your EOS Rebel T7 is the USB Cable IFC-200U. Cameras sold through our website no longer include USB cables." I've just ordered the $5.99 "AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Cable - A-Male to Mini-B Cord - 6 Feet (1.8 Meters)," which I'll update to confirm that it works. If not, I'll buy the $15 IFC-200U via Amazon or Canon. It seems that the software (and corresponding download) is also required to get the photos to (or opened or accessible on) computers. But, you need these additional details to get that software [from Canon's reply to me]: "When you connect your camera and computer with the USB cable you can use our importing software to download your photos. That software is the EOS Utility and it is available HERE [Canon website, drivers & downloads for EOS Rebel T7 EF-S 18-55mm IS II Kit]. Once on the web page click on the gray Drivers and Downloads button and the current version is named EOS Utility 3.11.0 for Windows. The manual for the software is on the same web page under the Manuals tab."I suggest that Amazon include in their section, "Also purchased with this bundle" section the correct USB Cable interface and clarify that it is not included with the bundle, but IS required for transfer of photos from camera to computer. fyi... my previous USB cable from my Sony camera does not fit for the Canon. I also suggest that Amazon include the software name, EOS Utility 3.11.0 for Windows, since there's a list of software available to download, which makes each buyer download all their software or guess which is the correct software. The Canon Manual, does NOT provide the name of the appropriate software download, and there are 6 available downloads which include the word "EOS".Again, 3 stars (rather than 5) is merely to get attention for the benefit of buyers. I've not been able to use the camera (the way I want to) due to the cable, and the software download problems mentioned here. 2 steps forward....

Bundle = NO. Camera = YES!
Quick and to the point, the bundle is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth it. Very cheap items. your only saving about 20$-30$ and going to have to spend WAAAAY more to replace/upgrade the items for worth-while parts. The Camera. Is an industry standard. The T7 is very nice for beginners or if you're not sure that this will stick with you and you want to give photography a fair and good shot. You can find the Camera only for about 400$-420$ if you keep searching here.Tripod was the first to break (immediately upon first use) and the lens felt super cheap and didn't make the hugest of differences in image quality. The memory cards have crap stats, you can find a very good SanDisk Extreme 128GB capacity and 150Mb/s transfer speed for 30$ here on amazon. The transfer speed helps with saving image and disk reading for later. It's more than you need since the cam maxes at about 80Mb/s. Transfer speed comes into play when your taking a lot shots back to back and really trying to capture the moments as they happen. However, if you want to jump into the video/film field, I HIGHLY recommend looking into upgrading to the T7i for about 100$ more. you can find the 800D (EU model of the T7i) for 580$ here on Amazon. I upgraded after a week of playing with the T7, and this was fueled by having past experience with a T6i thanks to a friend. The little differences may seem minute, but the y really make a difference and will vastly help beginners who need a helping hand polishing and grinding out their skills.I do strongly recommend the T7i over the regular T7 in general, but this isn't a bad choice at all.Just to reiterate. The camera is GREAT!The bundle is trash.

My view of this
As someone else stated Camera yeah bundle.. Meh.... with the bundle you're only spending about 70 bucks more than the camera itself.Cons:Tripod is worthless. Rattles and wobbles more than my old 84' f150. Already replaced.Slave flash won't work. But haven't needed it yet.Middle of the road:Macro and wide lenses are ok but for the price you'd pay for good ones it is completely acceptableShutter release is good works well but for long exposure shots even the wiggle in the cord needs up the pic. I went wireless.Filters, wipes, screen protectors. Your not going to use these. You may use a screen protector but you will upgrade from what you got here.Pros:Obviously the camera itself and the kit lens it comes with. Great so far.Carry case. Seems durable, good storage, can change configuration of partitions .Memory cards. Well they're memory cards. They work.Memory card case. Quite convenient.Think that was everything. All in all you are getting your money's worth. But when your looking at this kit just know you will need to upgrade to a better tripod.

No infared connection
I bought this camera for my daughter and was really excited about all the products that come with it. When we got it everything was in good shape. It is a little misleading when it says you get a telephoto lens with the camera but actually its really just an attachment that's pretty much the same as the wide-angle. We were also very disappointed about the universal shutter release button. When we tried figuring out how to connect the remote to the camera we kept coming up short. When we looked more into it we found out that the Rebel EOS T7 Canon camera isn't even infrared capable so that the Canon company could sell it for a cheaper price. This was disappointing because it means the company sold this package set with an item that has no capability of being useful to this camera. Overall I would say that this is a good camera for beginners or intermediates, but for people who are looking for a more functional camera I would suggest getting one that has the capability of using infrared.
