Windscreen Fade Strip - Green
This is a very useful product, to cut low sun glare - especially in winter months. I was replacing an earlier strip on another car and this arrived within 24 hours of ordering, thanks to Amazon using DPD couriers - what an improvement on 'another' service which has been commented on many times here ! The written instructions are in perfect, genuine English language and very clear to follow. Attention to such detail even on a small, reasonably priced item like this, is worth mentioning. Because of the position of the rear view mirror, I found it easier to press the strip still with its backing paper attached, roughly into position and to "crease" it where the mirror interfered with the strip. This gave a rough template for final fitting. The instructions suggest pulling off the backing in one when fitting but I found it better after following my procedure above - which provides a kind of 'pattern' to follow - to cut the strip into two sections for fitting, overlapping slightly, the factory-fitted, (and too short!) grey sun filter behind my rear view mirror. Do follow the advice to clean the glass thoroughly first and accept their suggestion of using (ONLY) a touch of wash up liquid in the water to "float" the strip onto the windscreen.. it DOES help. Would recommend this as an additional safety feature. Like me, you might have to move both seats back to reach the top of the windscreen properly, as fitting the strip takes both hands especially at the smoothing out air bubbles, with a squeegee or similar.

Almost does the job
The strip was fitted to a Fiat Panda which doesn't have the widest windscreen in the world! It only just fitted across the screen with about 4cm spare. The first hot day, yes we did have one, despite following the fitting instructions, the two ends "curled" up off the screen. The only solution was to use adhesive tape to hold them down, not very atheistically pleasing.

I bought this for our golf buggy and it doesn't really work well. Perspex windscreen - has to be pressed down each time we use it but worth a try

no use for tractors
i bought this for my husbands tractor he was really pleased with it and it really helped to keep the sun out of his eyes, but a tractor is to dusty and it fell of .if it had been a car it would have been okay.

Poor quality. The colour "fade" is unsubtle and fixing is difficult and tiresome because the thing doesnt stick properly. I had to cut mine in half to get it to stick and, even then, it is a far cry from the old Italian cars built in windscreen top shades....Admittedly, not expensive but I certainly wouldnt buy another.

Arrived on time
Useless bit of kit. After about 45 mins of following the instructions I had to cut it in half to do each side of the screen. Left it overnight and went out for a drive the next day, on returning to the car park both pieces of strip were hanging onto the dash and looked a mess. Several attempts to reattached failed. Not impressed and assigned it to the bin.
