Lonely Planet Kids America's National Parks

This was a gift for a 7 year old. He was thrilled.

Love all the colors and information on each national park. We use for our homeschool with the curriculum from Waldock Way called traveling the parks. Love, love, love, this book. My kids look through it all the time.

Looked into several books to prepare us to visit one. I wanted to get a book that would give us all a snapshot of what we COULD do and what there is out there.This book does just that. We checked out other books for their artistic value from the library, but this one was functional.To sum up the format:-2-3 page spread facts about each park alphabetically-little cartoon of an animal saying something to draw in a young reader- real photos of the parks themselvesLoved it and SO happy we went with this one and thinking to give it as a gift to other homeschool moms. It’s like a national park kids encyclopedia.

Love this book! We are going to a few national parks soon and I wanted to familiarize my son with them and plan some future trips and this book gives us such a great snap shot of each park! We can't wait to use this to help us brainstorm where we want to travel to next! There are about 3 - 4 pages to each park, quick summaries of each park and a few facts. This is not meant to plan an actual vacation but gives a great overview!

This book covers all the national parks and we have been enjoying reading the highlights of the parks we have been to and one's we would like to visit. As this is tailored for kids, this is just enough intro to each park. The pictures and maps are colorful for engaging young readers.

This book is a perfect mix of facts, real photos and cute illustrations. I'm a book collector as an artist and illustration myself so I tend to be pretty picky about which books I buy. This one hit all the YES marks and is being enjoyed by everyone in the family. Don't hesitate to buy if you are a National Parks fan.

This book is colorful, educational, and sturdy. Very nice edition to my 2nd grade classroom. I use it with a camping theme. The students loved using it to learn about different National Parks. They may have accidentally learned a little about Geography as a bonus!

Such a GREAT book! I just love it! Good pictures, descriptions, tells what to do and see at each place. I just love it!
