Walthers CornerstoneSeries Kit HO Scale Commissary/Freight Transfer

I bought it not realizing that it was a background building. Looking at the parts, I realized I could buy another and assemble them back-to-back, which I did and it makes a nice looking building with loading docks on both sides. Also, you can buy two or more buildings and attach them end to end to multiply the length as a background building. The instructions specify how to do this. You could probably buy four and assemble them back to back and end to end to create a double length building with all four sides, but I will leave that to others to try.Assembly was easy and the parts were not warped. The windows are pretty large so it lets a lot of light inside. You might want to add floors of sheet plastic.

I made sure to make the right amount of space on my layout to fit this particular building. I've been waiting quite a while to get this kit and I was NOT disappointed. It looks great, just as I hoped it would! One key feature is that it has enough room on the loading and unloading dock to fit my GN trucks as well as any GN rolling stock I chose to put there at the same time. The kit went together pretty easily too. I highly recommend this kit.

I purchased this building from Amazon.com because I am in the process of expanding my HO Train Platform. This is another great addition to my platform industrial section. It is the correct size & the detail & color are great. I would recommend this to anyone who needs buildings for their industrial section or rail yard section.

Perfect for back edge of shelf layout. Easy to build and customize.
