I was not expecting much since some of the other reviews stated the product was warped. I must have lucked out since I ordered two and they both arrived and were perfectly straight and looked great We were looking for a nice threshold piece to transition our old hardwood floor to the new carpet we about to have installed. With some stain this was a close match. So all in all I would highly recommend this product, quality was consistent on both pieces I ordered.

Transition is strong and easy to install. I purchased it because I needed a large version that was unavailable locally. Good value and easy to recommend.

The first one I ordered was warped & had deep gouges across the middle -quite beyond hope of repair. Amazon sent a replacement & it was true & smooth. I suspect a lot of these are going to be badly warped as they are made a bit too thin. However, it was superior to anything I could find at the big box hardware stores because it has a flat bottom. What I found locally had an indent on the bottom, so the overall height was more what you would expect, but the center was a thin weak spot that could not stand up to being screwed down or having a 175 lb person stand on it without cracking. It took the stain well & fit my purpose. It's amazing how hard it can be to find what used to be common items that actually fulfill their intended purpose. Amazon to the rescue.

Fit perfect and takes stain great

Cat tore up the carpet around my door. I used this wide threshold to cover the damage. Worked great! Product is very clean looking, and exactly as described. I had to use some longer screws (3") but the pre-drilled holes were a good size. Cheap fix compared to replacing carpet.

Wood cracked again don’t buy no good

Item was too thick for what I needed it for. I gave 3 stars because I had to ship it back via UPS and the seller made me pay $9 shipping.

I cut this to fit a doorway - stained and urethaned it. Worked perfectly!

I used this to bridge the gap in a doorway between carpeted and laminate floored rooms.
