Clear Body Non Nano 100% Natural Zinc Sunscreen for Adults and Children 30 + SPF Sun Block UVA/UVB

Hearing about all the carcinogenic ingredients in skin products got me to do extensive research on Environmental Working Group's website ([...]) where I found Loving Naturals products. My family goes through tons of sunscreen, especially in the summer months when my kids are outside a lot! I am glad I found something that is safe for my kids to use. Now my husband and I use Loving Natural products too. They are more expensive than what I used to use and I haven't seen Loving Natural products in stores (so I need to order them--no more stopping by the drug store on the way to the beach) but it's worth the peace of mind, not having to worry about what I use to protect us from the sun's rays causing other health issues down the line. I don't like sun screen on me but this is not too bad. I got the "clear body" so it goes on clear, and it's not too thick. I can't stand the thick white stuff! It might feel a bit oily but no worse than massage oils.Loving Naturals asked me to write a review and offered me a 35% off discount on my next purchase--they want to be honest and transparent and request that I state this in my review. I am about to order my supplies for the summer anyway, with or without the discount!

Not only do I have skin that is insanely sensitive to fragrance and the usual sunscreen chemicals, I also have photodermatitis. I am literally allergic to the sun and break out in a horribly itchy rash when I am overexposed to UV rays. For years, I have put up with non-chemical sunscreens which leave my a ghostly mask on my brown skin and I am too old to try to pass for a Goth.When I saw Loving Naturals received a top rating from the Environmental Working Group and it was advertised as clear, I decided to give it a try. I didn't really believe a non-chemical, non-nano sunscreen could truly be clear, but I was somewhat desperate to stop my family from laughing at me whenever I wore sunscreen in their presence. (Yeah, I don't visit them much.)Not only does Loving Naturals deliver on its clear promise, it protects more completely and longer than the Badger sunscreen I had been using. It also smells great and doesn't make me break out in a rash or zits.Honestly, if I read this review, I would think I was a plant. But I am writing this completely out of self-interest so people will buy this product and it becomes more easily available and maybe the price will come down a bit. The one drawback is the price of the tiny squeeze bottle. But it is a small price to pay for the ability to walk in the sun without fear of rashes or burns.

This stuff works great! I am very fair and really need to be careful when spending any extended period of time (basically, more than 20 mins) in the sun. But, I love the beach! I purchased this before my husband and I left for our beach vacation. I was looking for a product that didn't have all the questionable chemicals in it, yet wasn't thick/goopy and didn't leave behind the white residue that so many products with zinc oxide do. This product also has no discernible scent, for those put off by heavily scented products. You just apply and rub until the sunscreen is no longer visible on your skin. I reapplied each time I got out of the water/towel dried and I never got burned at all. Ingredients listed on the bottle: 24.7% Uncoated Non-nano Zinc Oxide; Grape Seed oil, Organic Sunflower oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides(from Coconut oil), Organic Beeswax, Stearic Acid(from Palm oil), Organic Honey, Sea Salt and Purified Water. Yes, it's pricey; but, I think it's worth it to use a product that keeps me/my family from burning and also doesn't contain a lot of questionable chemicals which could impact my or my family's health.

It gives me the persistent feeling of having a layer of moisturizer on top of my skin. when you squeeze it out, it comes out in a line, if that makes sense-- I used about .75 inches of product on my face in this picture. It makes me wonder if I'm using enough, but using more would be uncomfortable. To get a sense of what I mean, look at the shine on my cheeks and around my nose in the image--I took this next to cracked blinds and my bright laptop, but no flash.I haven't been out much and rarely burn so I can't speak to it's sunblocking power, but it's probably fine.I have long hair, and if you use it on the back of your neck, it could make your hair greasy throughout the afternoon (it happened to me). However, on the front of my neck, this isn't problematic. In general, I think you would still have to watch out for it rubbing off onto clothes if you put it on your décolletage. I haven't noticed it on my cotton flannels, but then during quarantine and WFH it's not much of a concern so.../shrug. Just keep an eye on it. Might be better in that sense for beach or outdoor use. I think it would be less water-proof than Badger because it is less waxy and more oily (like I said, I got it daily use so being ocean/lake-proof was not a concern for me personally!). When I shower and rub my face under the water *intentionally trying to remove it*, it comes off quite a bit.I have slightly dry skin normally and avoid using face wash because lukewarm water alone usually pulls off the oils (Assuming no makeup). If you need something with heavy moisturizing ability, this is going to do that for you.This product says "body" on it. The company sells another product labeled "daily UV" so I'll be trying it next on my face. It's not fair to judge it as a face sunscreen. I got it for face because a blogger recommended it. I am thinking it would do better at the beach, as I mentioned, for body or face regardless. I'll still keep using it and will try another, while continuing to use this one on the front of my neck.Customer service is excellent. My package was lost in the mail and they offered either a refund or expedited replacement--of course I took the replacement.
