Magpul Hunter/SGA Cheek Riser Kit, Black, High

I really like my Ruger 10/22 Target 22 LR so bought a composite stock from Magpul and it made my Ruger 10/22 a really nice gun to shoot. Then the Magpul riser kit was introduced and bought it to make a better cheek to stock fit. It made the gun so much comfortable to shoot and easier to line up cheek to stock fit. Quality from Magpul has never been an issue. The riser kit is another one of their quality upgrades along with their stock replacements. I am very happy to make my Ruger 10/22 Target into a more accurate shooter as well as a more comfortable gun to shoot and to line up my shot faster. Dr Dave. Utah

Just what i needed to get comfortable on my stock. Fit was perfect and super easy to switch out. Really good for large or high mounted sight.

bought this after finding out i need a higher cheek rest for the scope i put on. its good quality and i got 2 different sizes in the order.

...due to a large objective bell on my scope. Great Magpul build quality, matches my grey stock very closely, and fitment is always A+ with Magpul. The only gripe I have is the way the are sold. I didn't need 2 risers, and I did know that I needed the high riser (0.75") for my application. Now I have this piece of polymer sitting around wasting space. I just wish I didn't have to buy 2 pieces just to get the 1 piece I needed.

So it does what it’s supposed to do. It gives me some elevation so I can rest my cheek a little higher. I like that it came with two to adjust it to the just right height.Why only 4 stars? Well it’s plastic and mass produced. What does that mean? Mine rattle a bit. And yes, I screwed the stock down tight once installed. It just has a little rattle sometimes. Since it’s for a .22 it’s really no bother. For the price it’s not a deal breaker. I don’t expect some type of German engineered, hand finished, traditional European blah blah blah. It’s a plinking rifle and now it’s more comfortable. Good enough.I will say, I will not buy this setup for a serious rifle. All the “versatility” you get means extra plastic pieces. All you need is one piece to be not quite to spec and you will get wiggle, rattle and the like. I need to install and go, not an extra hobby to put the finishing touches on something I bought. My wife keeps me swimming in “honey do” hobbies as it is.For a .22 setup, I like it and would buy it again for a .22 plinker.

I have a Ruger 10/22 with 16.5” Tactical Advantage Barrel, Magpul Hunter Stock, T&J Tactical Suppressor, Kidd 1 Stage Trigger Kidd Internals with Burris PEPR Cantilever Mount and Athlon Optics, Talos BTR, Riflescope, 4-14 x 44 First Focal Plane (FFP) 30mm Tube, Illuminated APLR2 MIL Reticle. Needless to say I needed a high cheek riser.This was so easy to install. Just remove the side screw from the buttstock. Slide the rear of the buttstock off and lift the old riser out. Place the riser of your choice and reassemble. This snaps into place easily.This is made of the same material as your Magpul stock.It is definitely worth the upgrade.

Works as intended. I got these to use on my Magpul Hunter stocks.I have 2 - One for a Ruger American Rifle, and one on a Ruger 10-22.Its great that these are interchangeable between the different stocks.I am easily able to adjust to the right height for the scope. Only need to take out one screw, pull the butt plate back about 1/2 inch, and lift off the riser and replace as needed.It would be nice if Magpul sold these individually.Another tip for Magpul to improve, would be to have some kind of soft cushion attachment that we could add to this for comfort. Overall this is another great product from Magpul, in line with their normal standards, and what you would expect.

I added these to the Magpul stock I put on my Mossberg 500 and I am very impressed with the Magpul Industries line of products. These integrate seamlessly into the stock. I prefer raised combs on my stocks to help with my line of sight. I would easily buy these again if I do any more Magpul upgrades on future rifles or shotguns.
