It's a Little Book

Great product and service

I love this book for toddler aged kids. It's sweet and funny and uses a book to teach about the purpose of a book. It's also one of the first books that you can have your child "read" along with you. One caution - this is actually the book that taught my child the word "no" - which can have positives and negatives.

Prefer the non “Little” version, but this was great for a toddler.

I loved Lane Smith's  It's a Book . Seriously, one of my favorite kid books! I love the humor. So, when I saw "It's a Little Book", I had to buy it for my littlest guy! It is similar to it's big brother counterpart, but more little guy humor. I love it! It would make a fabulous gift book! (Consider buying both for a big brother/little brother set!)

Like so many board books, this book pages just aren't thick enough to actually be considered a good board book. It's only slightly thicker than maybe a cereal box's cardboard doubled? Which is a shame given the gag for the book is the proper use of a book for little ones. The story itself is briefly written and sparsely illustrated but both are done very very well, bemusing this mother. I would order this book only if your child has already learned how to handle a book (doesn't fight you for flipping pages or they are still wanting books in their mouths).

The original It's a Book picture book focused on technological misunderstanding. And then there was the flap over Smith's double entendre, "jackass," at the end of the book. This reworking for very young children avoids that pitfall and replaces technology references with questions more suited to toddlers. It's smart and savvy yet entirely age appropriate. Wonderful!

Wonderful version of "It's a book". We have three kids, and our youngest is 2.5. She loves this book. My 7.5 year old reads it to her and our 5 year old and they are all in fits of giggles by the time they're finished. Great book!

I loved it so much I bought copies for every one of my children. It gets the point that we don't need to lose the ability to enjoy a book, in hand, and not always on a Nook, Kindle, or computer.

Love this book. Perfect for under 3s.

Great quality board book. However, this story is not nearly as amusing as the original "It's a Book" by the same author. Or the video by the same name. This seems like a money grab from those buying for small children. I wish I had waited 'til the intended recipient is older and bought the original product.
