Top quality and use them every year in the fall when nut season comes around. It works great.

Works perfectly. Not as good of quality as the Quackenbush nut crackers that are sold on Amazon, but at least you get what you order. I also ordered the Quackenbush from Avalanche and it was supposed to come with 4 picks, showed 4 picks in the picture, but came with ZERO picks. But this Good Cook Classic came exactly as pictured. The Quackenbush are made in India, where as this one is made in China, so probably not much difference there. The Good Cook Classic has a better gripping surface which seems easier for younger kids to use. But what you get is exactly as shown.

I'm an old person so I remember the nutcrackers and picks of my youth, which were sturdier then these, as I recall. However, these do the job just fine so far, and I expect I'll be happy I have them in my kitchen drawer.

Had the nut bowl and needed the tools to go with the bowl! Great tools!

I had a set and a friend tried to find one like it in stores. I ordered it here and gave it to her. The picks come in handy, but i think they should be thinner at the end. The cracker is the type to use for a few pecans at a time, or for crab claws. To shell many pounds of nuts, there are better designs. For this type, it seems sturdy enough

I loved this nutcracker. I was looking all around for a cracker just like the one I used to use growing up and this is the exact one. The weight of the cracker is excellent and it functions exactly as it should. The picks are an excellent addition and are helpful when cracking difficult nuts.

Good Cook Classic Nutcracker with Picks  I remember all too well this set resting in my parents wooden bowl at Christmas time. It is good to know that some products are still being enjoyed today as they were of yesteryear. This nutcracker set functions very well and I'm glad I purchased them. Living in a large city I had such a time searching (and I searched everywhere!)for nutcrackers. Thanks to Amazon my search had ended with great results!

Good quality old fashioned nut cracker. Unfortunately, the picks are useless, because they are too thick at the tips. The tips should be thinner to fit between the nut and the shell. Because they are so thick, they don't fit in tight crevices within the nut, and when you try to force them, they slip out and you stab yourself with them!

Llego en el tiempo señalado. Funciona muy bien al pelar las nueces, si no estuvieran tan chatas las puntas sería más fácil romper la nuez.

I absolutely love this nut cracker set. The cracker itself is very solidly built and I believe will last quite a long time. I don't usually use the picks but they feel like they are high quality. Overall I can't get over what a fantastic deal these were. I am so happy with this purchase.

Teeth aren't sharp enought to grip hazelnuts (smooth shell) slides all over . But not sure about any other nuts.
