This really is exceptionally good hot chocolate, I add some vanilla to it. The only negative thing is the price, it really should be half the price. They spent too much on packaging, instead of selling the item for less. The packaging is going to be thrown away. Just put it into a nice resealable bag, and put more of it for that price!

I have been drinking this hot chocolate for years and is by far one of the best you can purchase. I use a milk frother/steamer and use milk/almond milk instead of water. I like the fact the ingredient list is short and contains nothing artificial. Yes, it comes with small chunks of chocolate but they melt down when you heat up the milk. The Spicy Maya one has just enough flavor and not overpowering. It may seem expensive but you get about 11 cups out of each container (depending on how rich you like it) and to go to a coffee shop and get a good cup of hot chocolate you would spend the same amount. The last batch I purchased has an expiration date of 8 months out so there is no way it will get stale! And a bonus is the tins are reusable so you can you them for storage of other things.

I first found Chuao chocolate many years ago in La Jolla, CA tucked away in a small shopping center. The Spicy Maya hot chocolate was something I'd drive clear across San Diego County for until I moved across the country and forgot about it. I was looking for a Valentine's gift here on Amazon and was delighted to see that I could order it here. The level of spice is pretty mild, and builds as you drink without becoming overwhelming. It's a beautiful blend of flavors and if you make it exactly as directed, it's extremely thick and rich.

Outstanding hot chocolate with this product. Starbucks isn't in the same race. It's addictive but the cost is prohibitive. The 5 lbs bag certainly looks more reasonable. Such rich taste.

My stepdaughter gave me a tin of this for Christmas some years back, and it was AWESOME! Sad that you don't get many 1 cup servings from a can. It's way overpriced, but I guess if you compare it to Starbucks, which is also horrendously overpriced, it's not so bad and MUCH more delicious. AGAIN, this is the crack cocaine of hot chocolate. You may find yourself ordering 5 pounds for 90 bucks, too. Or trying to somehow make your own at home. Good luck with that!

Delicious!!I make my own hot chocolate.I use scoop un sweet cocoa powder, one square chocolate and scoop of this in whole milk.Very high quality product. Expensive but worth every penny.Don’t be afraid go try it.

You know you are receiving the real deal when your hot chocolate mix is packaged with ice packs! I'm so glad it is available thru Amazon since the product is not available on its website. The flavor is awesome! Spicy and sweet enough for my palate.

I absolutely LOVE this hot chocolate. So here's how you should make this drink...or at least here's the way that I make it.Get a small sauce pan. NO microwave. No no no noooooo microwave! Pour the milk in the pan. Milk...don't use water...slap yourself 3x if you even thought about using water. Add the cocoa mix; I use about 4 heaping teaspoons per cup....5 on special days. Use low heat on the stove. High heat will burn the mixture, and then you'll have to slap yourself again. Whisk the concoction until it's melted and frothy. You MUST USE A WHISK...if you want the frothy goodness to appear. You don't have to use a whisk...but if you don't you will not get the full experience here.Pour the mixture into your mug.Sip sip sip. It'll be hot, so don't burn your mouth. Duh.Soooooooo good. :)
