3 Devices to One set of Speakers or to headphones
I am working from home and have a Linux, Windows and Mac Machine powered up and I switch between these for Teams Meetings, Videos, Background music and so on. This box has 3 jack sockets on one side for input and one jack socket on the other side where you plug in your headphones or speakers. It has a mechanical switch to move between inputs. It has a mute button and a volume control.I purchased several jack-jack cables of appropriate lenghts to plug my computers into it. For the output I have a male-female jack plugged in. I can then switch easily between headphones and speakers plugging into the femail end of the output extension. I do this to save wear and tear on the unit itself.I read reviews of this porduct and they were accurate. It is basic but effective. It seems well made. As is mentioned in other reviews the volume control is not great at providing a full range of volumes. It is however incredibly useful at bringing volume down and up in the lower ranges without having to mouse for the computer volume controls.I read the reviews elsewhere and it has not exceeded or failed my expectations. It was just what I needed in my lockdown office.

Excellent sound quality and great for WFH.
I bought this to replace a similar priced item which wrecked the sound from my computers. This however is excellent. Just tested it with Massive Attack Teardrop and the bass and sub bass come through clearly. If you work from home and you have to switch between audio inputs, this is great and doesn't seem to degrade signal level much.It works as a 4 into 1 out, or 1 in to 4 out switch. Don't expect to jam 4 headphones on here all at once as its strictly one channel at a time. I have inputs from two monitors and two computers, switchable to a big speaker system and I am very pleased. The advantage of a good quality switcher is that all the nuance of the music is retained, with the previous one I used, turning it down made it sound like it was a cheap transistor radio, regardless of the quality of the speaker system used.Quality of construction is good, but its not boxed, just three PCB's stacked on top of each other. Quality of components seems good and no noises from volume knob or switches..Like most of these things, would really benefit from having all the inputs and outputs on one side to minimise cabling, a box and a bracket to attach it to the side of a monitor would be even better but then it would not be as cheap.

Excellent little unit for switching headphone sources
I'm using this in a live-streaming setup where I need to switch between three different audio sources to monitor the sound from mixer, through video switcher to the actual livestream. Works perfectly, no noise and no loss of strength as far as I can hear. A very neat little unit that does exactly what I wanted.Update, I now have three of these. One with my video switcher as above, one with my everyday computer and one on the computer I use for sound and video editing. It's important to me to be able to switch sources to check the quality of video sound when people listen on every kind of speaker and headphone. Having a volume control is a real bonus. The fact it is a passive device is just great.

Works flawlessly...great little switcher
I read a couple of fairly negative review about this little unit. I have absolutely no idea why anyone could find fault with it. It works flawlessly for me..no extrenuous noise or other anomalies on any of the four output channels. The output switch works great with a satisfying click for each position. The volume control has a smooth and accurate increase across its range. Really, this little unit does exactly what its supposed to do and the mute button is an added bonus...highly recommend.

Introduces a ground loop
I have this plugged into my Desktop and laptop and when both devices are plugged in there is a constant buzzing when listening to either device. Would not recommend.

This is not very good quality.
Volume knob crackles, and the switch seems to cause buzzing/humming on the pc speakers, but only when the volume is set between 30 and 70%. Not very good quality. And it came with some really poor 'pidgeon english' instructions which made no sense (I still don't know what the message means.. see photo). Quite disappointing.

Good when Bought developed intermittent sound
When I first bought this in April 2020 it worked flawlessly switching my TV sound through my HI-FI speakers or headphones. About a month ago the headphone sound on switch 2 position became distorted and after checking the audio leads, that where fine, I discovered that the problem was with the Red mute switch, that I hasten to add was never used. After clicking it several times it worked fine for a few days then the distortion was back. I changed the headphones output onto number 3 position and it now seems to have settled down now. The sound quality is good, and I like the open style but the reliability seems poor and I hope it will not develop the same problem again. Therefore only 3 stars.

Overall a brilliant little product.
Overall a brilliant little product. Very compact so you can find space for it in almost any environment.Using it to take 4 audio inputs into one set of headphones...have not tried the one out four in configuration.INPUTS /OUPUTS are all 3.5mm stereo jack..if your existing kit uses anything else I suggest you invest in some decent new cables. The signal degredation when using this is low so it will be worth it.BUILD QUALITY is good but realise that this unit has no sides so the circuitry is exposed. Looks cool but I would not advise using in an environment where there is smoke, vapour, dust etc.The left hand switch for SELECTING INPUTS (or outputs) is sturdy and precise. Having experimented with playing multiple inputs simultaneously and switching between them, I must say I have experienced no cross talk. The VOLUME KNOB works but I would suggest that you set up the source volumes to a reasonable and fairly equivalent level and then use the volume knob to set a comfortable level. (Start at Minimum and work up.... don't set straight to Maximum lol)I'm using this kit for monitoring purposes so the volume levels are OK for me over a long session.Enjoy
