Wouldn't do it again.
This Casio is a good quality built watch, but the features are basically kind of gimmickee. I did a lot of reading and comparing before I bought this and though I knew I wanted a Casio, they don't make a watch with all the features I was looking for and I had to settle between two models; the 2500 and this 260. I chose this 260 because it has the sunrise/sunset feature and it was cheaper for the same type of quality and durability. I specifically wanted an altimeter, barometer and compass style watch and I absolutely realize these aren't precision instruments. After finally making a choice and getting this PRG260 I am overall disappointed. The temp function needs to be off your wrist for about 20 minutes to be accurate which I find to be almost useless. Who is going to stand around for 20 minutes with the watch off to get an accurate temp reading? The compass is nice and seems like it works pretty well. I wouldn't try to use it to call in tight coordinates but if I needed it to locate a general area it would certainly do that. I've compared it to real compasses and it's got decent readings. The altimeter isn't accurate and may as well not even be a feature on this watch which is irritating because it's one of the reasons I got it to begin with. I set it specifically for my home location and nearly everyday it shows a significant difference in readings even when I am sitting in the very same spot where I set the watch up. It has fluctuated by more than 300 feet. For a $200 watch that claims accuracy within 20 ft with this feature to fluctuate like that.....not acceptable and basically useless. The barometer seems to work ok but it too has its accuracy issues. The weather stations in our area do not show the same barometer readings as my watch does but they aren't ridiculously different. The sunrise and sunset are just general predictions, not specific times. I can get better from a farmer's almanac. The backlight turns off when you are trying to press a button to see another feature/reading such as compass, barometer, altimeter.....how useful is a backlight that turns off when you turn it on to see a reading and to get the reading you touch another button which turns off the light? Kind of dumb in my opinion. Anyway.....I'm sadly disappointed because I was very excited to finally get this. I've worn it everyday for about a month and I am unimpressed. I've thought about how to return it and try another model or completely different brand. I love the looks of the watch, it's durable and wears nicely. But for what I bought it for, regular outdoor activities and specific features, I'm underwhelmed. I probably can't return it, so I will deal with it. But I wouldn't buy it again if given the chance. Casio needs to think things through because the hype on these things is a whole lot more than the performance as far as I'm concerned so far.

nice, functional watch - casio knows its job
very accurate, very reliable... everything and all the time. I wear it every day, even on semi-classic suits. i dont have very big hand/wrist and even i feel comfortable with it. it feels big only first hour then u get used to it quickly. very satisfied with this purchase. just buy, u wont be disappointed!(p.s. it cannot measure temperature accurately when wearing on wrist. but that's ok, I knew that. also backlit only lasts max 3 secs - that's ok for me too)edit 10 april, 2015: after having this watch a year and a half, i still love it and wear it a lot. it never went off from H mark (high battery charge), i would rarely put it on direct sunlight for charging though. it is very easy to clean: just wash under tap water and dry with cloth. Im thinking that after i had set this watch, 1.5 years ago, it only altred for 4 or 5 seconds from official time in my area. another casio watch, 10 times cheaper than this, also holds well in this regard. but this one's got tones of other features that come handy suddenly and you understand that you dont necessarily have to live in a tent and hike backcountry 24/7 to benefit from this watch - everyday activity will still make you appreciate it. this is my longest review, i am usually more laconic. but even from that you will get how much i've loved this watch more and more with time.

Fantastic watch
Bought it 6 months ago. Enjoy it thoroughly. Good design. Because the bezel is stainless, it kind-of defines the size of the watch... which is great because the watch is huge (like all Casio watches of this type). So, if you want a watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass and Thermometer that doesn't look like you are wearing a 1960's alarm clock on your hand, buy this one and enjoy - because it is a much better design than other single-color Casio watches. Additionally, the band attached properly on this watch and is easy to replace with a Nato band or another custom band of standard design; the newer Casios have a ridiculous dovetail band attachment that is less secure, flimsy and makes it impossible to replace a band when you wear your original band out (this is because Casio wants you to buy a new watch every time the band is worn... sorry, but that's how it is friends). So, this watch doesn't have this silly problem, which is why I love it. Oh, remember to put some lubricant on the bezel, as it will rotate smoother this way.

Great watch
I freaken loving this watch.I've had many a Casio watches in my years. This one is by far the coolest, and the most rugged watch I've had to date.Getting all of the information you need right on the front face is critical. In this case, I can easily see the time, and the day and date is easily viewable. If you don't know what year it is, you've got bigger problems than just trying to see the date on the watch. The bezel moves around to assist with Compass direction, and the screen is sunken down below the bezel. For a long time I had problems scratching the screen when my arm would swing by a door frame or whatever else. I currently have a Casio 2735 Wave Receptor watch that I really like, but the screen is unprotected by the lack of a raised bezel. The screen is scratched up pretty bad and I've no inclination to replace the screen, since the watch still works. One of the biggest benefits to this watch is the solar recharging capacity. That is really, really cool. Now I won't have to worry about finding a jeweler to have my watch battery replaced.
