Great supplemental text for psychology graduate courses
I think this textbook provides a great overview of some very complex concepts. I am currently taking an advanced research methods for psychology series of courses in grad school and I find myself reaching to this book for extra support and clarification. I really like how the book is organized and it includes so much detail--at times it can be overwhelming. For example it shows you the definitions for sum of squares in ANOVA, which is a little more detail than necessary for my needs. That said, a separate SPSS guide is necessary since this will only go over the stats and not how to input, read or interpret SPSS outputs.Although it might not be the intended purpose, my professor has used this textbook's data sets to help us practice some of the concepts. The data sets are well designed for that purpose.

Fairly Good Stats Book
I would not recommend this book unless you are already somewhat familiar with statistics. It is very detailed, and the examples are at times hard to follow. The z-table in the back is oddly formatted, which can make it harder to use. That said, it has everything I might need for my graduate statistics class in it, as long as you are able to find the right section.

Can't use the Kindle version to study!!!
The Kindle version is terribly inconvenient to study!(1) typos (see picture) prevent students from understanding and solving the exercises(2) all the functions and tables are "images" embedded in the text, thus it is not zoom-able and literally on my screen (Surface Pro 2017) I cannot see the details in those images. Super annoying!Other than that, the book is a good introduction to statistics, with consistent examples along the chapter to visually illustrate the difficult concepts.

Nice
The book is nice. Got it for a class because it was required, but then we only cracked it open like twice. I read it for recreational purposes because I spent so much on it and felt like I should get some use. It was definitely informative.

Doesn't make me want to kill myself. A+ (SERIOUSLY ITS A GOOD BOOK)
Oddly its an amusing text, humor is thrown in here and there in little lines. I have used several statistics texts throughout my career, & this one I don't hate. Some people actually get excited about it, I don't see myself ever getting to that point. But the way the information is formatted and presented makes it more accessible compared to a Tabachnick/Fidell text.

Kindle version NOT worth the savings
Both the Kindle and hardcover versions are riddled with typos and incorrect answers. The Kindle version also cuts off many tables, rendering some exercises impossible to complete. Additionally, the size of the equations cannot be increased so some subscripts are illegible.

An excellent treatment of statistical approaches
This is an outstanding book that comprehensively explains and convincingly illustrates how research design and statistical analysis go together. It is particularly useful for graduate students who seek to furnish their research skills.

One Star
Only statisticians like this book. Beware, everyone else.
