Good forks, good packaging (minimal wasted space), look classier and have a stiffer construction than a lot of compostable flatware. They will break/shatter if stepped on, so don't leave them lying around on the floor.But they're pretty tough; we put some through the dishwasher and they've come out unscathed on the other side (no heated drying, notably.) Given their attractive appearance, excellent price, and convenient packaging (50-packs make it easy to count out just enough for a given event, without having to dig through a big bag-o-cutlery), these are now my go-to... whenever I actually use up all of my current supply.

These are the best little forks ever! They simply DO NOT MELT no matter what you put them in. They're great for eating things like piping hot mac and cheese because they do not soften like regular plastic forks. They're also great for eating cold items like salads.These are ideal for picnics or holidays because they are durable and can be used through all courses of the meal from salad to entree to dessert without breaking or softening.I highly, highly recommend these!

We go through a lot of utensils at our preschool. We finally took the plunge and went corn starch a couple years ago. Used to buy from Costco, but those idiots stopped carrying non-petroleum products for some reason. I came across the World Centric spoons first, and they are small and light and strong. Once our supply of forks ran out, we bought these too, and they are also a quality product. Pricey yes, but let's save the petroleum for the non-throwaway plastic uses like in medical equipment.

We've used these forks for years for our weekly church suppers, serving 300/week.

These are from genetically modified corn. That doesn't help us either. Powerful profit driven companies that are medeling with genetic code they don't fully understand yet is not the solution either. How much oil is going into growing this corn then processing it?
