Rumple Buttercup: A Story of Bananas, Belonging, and Being Yourself

I purchased this for a second grade struggling readers program. They were all able to read it fairly easily and understood the message. The drawings are funny.

Such an important story about finding a community and learning that insecurities don’t define you. It’s also an easy and cute read for all. I know some teens that definitely should read this book (and even some adults)!

I've been a big fan of Matthew Grey for I don't know how long but now that he writes books. I had to purchase but the book itself is so uplifting and I think it can really teach young children about accepting who you are even if it's different from the norm. LOVEEEEE

Always a fan of Matthew Grey Gubler, so was super excited to see he had a children's book just out, so I picked it up for my son - it looked interesting, and it talked about carrying a positive message, so seemed like it would be a fun read.Wow. We have a million books for my son as he *loves* books, but this was one of the most heartfelt and charming books we've picked up in a very, very long time. You'll love the main character - I haven't read a book to my son in.... I don't know how long.....that I've actually wanted to cry, then jump up and cheer when it all worked out for the lovable character.This book conveys a very positive message of just being yourself and to not be ashamed of that - I think that's great for children to learn, but I think it's always something we as adults could hear every now and then as well.Art is quirky and cute - my son really liked it and thought it was funny, and the physical book itself was especially well made. You can tell this book, from the story to it's design, was really made from love.As a parent, I really couldn't say anything negative about this book, and encourage everyone who has children to get this book (and even adults too, because we all need to be reminded it's OK to be different sometimes).

I bought this book for my girlfriend for her birthday and she absolutely loved it! 100% recommend!!!

I bought this for my disabled son's 18th birthday, but I read it first to be sure it was suitable. I am happy to say it was simply a sweet little story about fitting in. And although the author's picture might not have been the best part of the book, it's definitely a bonus, elicited a real giggle, and is right in keeping with the book's theme. Thanks to Matthew for such a splendid addition to children's literature.

A história é uma gracinha. Os desenhos também são muito fofos. Comprei para praticar inglês e para ler para minhas sobrinhas e me apaixonei pela história! Sempre me achei estranha, então me identifiquei com o Rumple!! HahahahahaUma das minhas sobrinhas, que é autista, também gostou da história!

Libro molto bello! È significativo. Adatto anche a ragazzi più grandi.

If you are a fan of Matthew Gray Gubler than it's a must to have this but even if you don't know him this book is a very cute heartwarming read.

My daughter loved this she is quirky like the auther, beautiful message, stunning illustrations
