Designer Cards & Tags with Anna Griffin: Fabulous Projects Created with Style

I bought a used copy in “very good” condition. A couple of reviews were critical of the Victorian style and similarity among the designs. I was disappointed at first. Most of the cards do look similar and are quite simple. Nothing special going on like pop-ups or pull outs. I decided to take another look before returning it and I’m glad that I kept it. Yes the cards are old timey but there are quite a few unique treatments that one can use to make cards stand out. It’s nice that she tells exactly which of her products to use if you want to duplicate her designs but you can use paper from your stash. I’ve come to appreciate the speed with which I can make cards by using purchased embellishments e.g. die cuts. She incorporates die cuts and trims in a lot of these designs. I already have some of them. I bet I could make some of these cards in less than 30 minutes instead of 4 hours. Last but not least, this book does provide the inspiration one may need to create cards for all occasions. Eight chapters show designs for multiple cards in categories such as birthday, friendship, holiday, congratulations. The styles are similar but the layouts can be adapted for any paper or embellishments of your choosing. It’s all right there in full cover with step by step instructions for every example and you don’t even have to connect to the Internet. I have a feeling I’ll be getting a lot of use from this book.

I have never purchased a used productFrom Amazon until this book. What a great deal I got. The book looked brand new. Anna always produces excellent quality merchandise for the crafting world and this book is no exception. Great ideas, actual templates and super instructions.

Great book with great ideas. The pictures are very detailed and there are step-by-step instructions for the different styles of cards along with cutouts of various shapes in the back of the book.

I think I'm really going to enjoy using this book. I don't usually copy someone else's designs and this book has lots of inspirational designs...the kind that make light bulbs go off in my head. Perfect for me. I always love Anna's stuff, but I do like mixing hers up with other designers ideas or with my own ideas. Elegance. That's what floats my boat and this book has it in spades.

Delightful springboard for all kinds of cards and projects.....even scrapbook pages. It would seem to me that it could be the remedy for stale same old pages, cards, maybe even gift wrap. I seem to find some new detail that I've overlooked every time I open this book. Wonderful inspiration.

Loved this Anna Griffin book of Designer Cards and Tags ideas for paper crafting with AG products. Plenty of ideas here. The book was in very good condition.
