This book cuts right to the chase and shows you the right moves visually (pictorially) accompanied by a brief description of each step. One very good point is that this book gives you the titles of the different moves both in English and in Spanish.I bought several "how to" books on the Argentine Tango. However, they just told you about the history of the dance, how passionate it is, etc. etc. This book actually shows you how to do the dance! This is a great addition to watching YouTube instructional videos and taking private dance lessons

Been practicing tango for a few years, and thought we might get some more help. this book has nice pictures, but don't expect the layout pattern with footprints to help much. We gave up and just watched utube, now the book sits by our dance floor to impress others who don't know anything about tango.

I continue to find this book to be a very useful to read at the same time as taking tango lessons. The problem with tango lessons is that it takes a very long to put together a complete set of moves to finish a complete dance, let alone a tanda. This book outlines a complete set of basic tango moves so that you can look ahead and know what to expect in a typical class. It also allows me to ask my teacher, when possible, to teach me a certain move that I believe that I need to naturally complete a dance.

very superficial book that emphasizes patterns rather than connection to partner and music.Book would set the dancer off on the wrong path. He might have some awareness of thenames of various steps, but not the lead, follow, or feeling.

This book has many figures in Argentine Tango dancing. The instructions are very easy to follow and the photos that go along with the instructions are well done. Not much detail is put into the instructions which allows this book to cover many figures superfically instead of a few figures in detail. Argentine Tango is a dance that almost certainly needs personal instruction but if you you to get a book this is a good one. This book would be great if you already know the basics or dancing such as frame, leading, following, etc. and want to add a few more moves to your routine

Tango Argentino volume che ho acquistato perchè venduto "usato" e quindi ho pagato la curiosità di vedere l'ennesimo trattato sul Tango Argentino. Per qualificare il volume basta guardare le foto di copertina...

Very good way to remind you of what you have learned but you will as ever always need lessons. The book is as helpful as it can be using photos. The book iteslf is well made and robust in hardback form.
