4 Film Favorites: The Matrix Collection [Blu-ray]

The cheapest way to score The Animatrix on bluray! Dont bother watching The Matrix (the original) that's included, the 4k version is color corrected to the theatrical release.

The obvious: all three original releases of the Matrix trilogy are included in full blu-ray. Also included is a disc of the Animatrix cartoons, which includes storyline elements between the original Matrix and the two (really one extremely long) sequels.What is astonishing is the amount of extras included on these Blu-rays: each of them has hours and hours of extra material, so much so that they themselves create an almost overload of information. For anyone curious about how these movies were made, especially given the then-groundbreaking technology, these extras are a must. For budding filmmakers, these extras are a must. For those just curious, trying to fill in the gaps, to slow down the movies so that we don't miss little details, these extras are a must.I have but one quibble with these discs: when inserted into the player, they go straight to the movie, bypassing the main menu, where we may want to make other selections. It's a little difficult to get to the main menu, especially after the film ends and it goes through about 40 screens about privacy in seemingly all languages worldwide.The only other way to improve this collection would be to include the latest installment (as of 2023) of this franchise, "The Matrix Resurrections."

I got the advertised blu ray. The PQ is great on all of these, especially the Animatrix. AQ, eh, I had to raise the volume higher than I like to to hear the dialogue over the music/sfx, sometimes I still missed a line here or there. So that could be balanced better (or maybe not a problem with a better setup than I have). Despite double stacking/two discs per side, only Reloaded and Revolutions had very slight markings on them (just a line, really) that didn’t affect playback. Hugely better than other value bundles I’ve gotten. Matrix and Animatrix were mint. These have aged really well; Matrix is always classic greatness, but I was surprised how well the others stacked up.

The shrink wrap encasing the disk container was easy to open. The only issue, if there was one, is there was no middle disk holder. Fortunately, 2 of the 3 disks are held on 1 of the 2 disk holders in the case, so it’s not a huge deal.

Great purchase of the BluRay DVD Set of all the Matrix movies with extras. Although the DVD case packaging is unusual (stacked), it appears to work. All 4 BluRay DVD discs worked perfectly. Also, from some of the reviews I have seen here, the Special Features appeared to be limited. To access full Special Features, go to the end of the credits and a different screen for the Menu will appear. All of the Special Features are located there…not under Popup Menu, as expected (which appears to be only Commentaries). The making and creation documentaries of the all of the Matrix movies and Animatrix shorts is awesome! Expect to spend a few hours to watch each available on each disc.

No issues with disc.Actually lent to a friend who had no issues watching the movies. Personally my favorites being the first "The Matrix" and "Animatrix". Which "Animatrix" does a fantastic job laying the groundwork and supporting background for the "The Matrix" itself. One of the most cerebal movies of its time filled with actiona and a story that is esssentially literal metaphysics of philosophies.

Nothing to say about the movies themselves. If you like the Matrix, these are excellent Blu-rays. The video quality and sound quality is great. The budget packaging isn't the best. There is a spindle holder on each side of the standard sized Blu-ray case that holds two disks stacked on top of each other, two on the front, two on the back. I suppose it's no big deal, but I would prefer something where each movie has its own tray that you flip through. Still, this is a cheap way to get the whole Matrix collection. The disks are all the standard releases, just housed in this cheap case. It's not like you are going to watch these movies every day, so it doesn't matter that much. I just wanted to let you know what you are getting.

Lo bueno:El precio.Los 4 Bluray son originales.Las 3 películas de la serie están en Blu ray 1080p con True HD 5.1 Audio en Ingles.Subtítulos en 7 idiomas.Incluye el disco de Animatrix.En cuanto al sonido vienen 5 idiomas incluyendo español latino.Lo malo:El empaque es muy sencillo, los 4 discos vienen en una sola caja, una sola carátula con la información atiborrada.Conclusión:Excelente colección por un precio atractivo

Eigene behaupten das Animatrix hat überhaupt nichts mit den Matrix Filmen zu tun.Das stimmt überhaupt gar nicht.Es sind Kurzfilme welche zeigen wie es dazu gekommen ist.Das mit den Maschinen und Robotern.Wie die Menschen in diese Behälter mit den Kabeln angeschlossen werden.Und einige Kurzfilme mit anderen Charakteren.Also nicht Neo der Prophet oder Morpheus.Deswegen ist der Film doch nicht gleich schlecht.Die anderen Matrix Filme sind gut.Mein Lieblingsteil ist der erste.Der zweite ist in Ordnung , der dritte akzeptabel.
